1/2 cup grapefruit soda or sparkling peach citrus soda
Lime wedge

Steps:

  • In a highball glass filled with ice, combine salt, tequila and lime juice. Top with soda. Garnish with lime.

2 1/2 ounces tequila
Squeeze of lime juice
Grapefruit soda (like Squirt or Jarritos), to top
Lime wedge, for garnish

Steps:

  • Fill a highball glass with ice (dip the rim in salt first, if you like). Add tequila and lime juice, then top with grapefruit soda. Stir ingredients together gently. Garnish with a wedge of lime.

1/2 ounce agave nectar
10 ounces grapefruit IPA, such as Ballast Point Grapefruit Sculpin IPA

  • Pour the tequila, grapefruit juice and agave into a pint glass. Slowly add the IPA, taking care not to overflow. Serve immediately.

This Paloma cocktail recipe is a refreshing version of the tequila cocktail with grapefruit soda, brightened with a squeeze of fresh lime and grapefruit.

4 oz. grapefruit soda (preferably Ting), chilled
1½ oz. blanco tequila
½ oz. fresh lime juice
¼ oz. fresh grapefruit juice
Pinch of kosher salt
Grapefruit wedge or slice (for serving)

Steps:

  • Fill a highball glass two-thirds full with ice. Slowly pour in about 2 oz. grapefruit soda, filling glass about one-third full. Add 1½ oz. blanco tequila, ½ oz. lime juice, ¼ oz. grapefruit juice, and a pinch of kosher salt. Top with remaining grapefruit soda, stir gently, and garnish with a grapefruit wedge or slice.
