This is a recipe I grew up on and is my favorite. I usually double the recipe because people always want seconds.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 lb ground beef
1 teaspoon salt
16 ounces pork & beans
3/4 cup barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon instant minced onion
6 -9 hungry jack flakey biscuits
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Brown ground beef and strain.
  • Add next 5 ingredients and heat til bubbly.
  • Pour into 2 quart casserole dish.
  • Peel biscuits in half and lay across top.
  • Sprinkle with cheese.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes.

This is a casserole that my mom used to make all the time when we were kids. I have also made it for my kids. It is comfort food.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 lb ground beef
1 teaspoon salt
1 (16 ounce) can pork and beans
3/4 cup barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon instant minced onion
1 can hungry jack biscuit
1 cup grated cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Brown ground meat and drain.
  • Stir in the next five ingredients.
  • Heat until bubbly.
  • Pour mixture into a sprayed 2 quart casserole dish.
  • Cut the biscuits in half to form 20 half circles.
  • Place biscuits cut side down on top of mixture.
  • Sprinkle with cheese.
  • Bake for 30 minutes.

Crisco No-Stick Cooking Spray
2 (12 fluid ounce) cans PET Evaporated Milk
2 cups water
6 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 cups sour cream
3 (4.9 ounce) boxes Hungry Jack Cheddar & Bacon Potatoes
1/2 cup chopped chives or green onions
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Combine evaporated milk, water, butter, potato slices and sauce mix, in a 5-quart pot, over medium heat, just until it comes to a boil. Remove from heat. Stir in sour cream and chives or green onions. Pour into prepared pan. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake 40 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.

2 cups water
6 tablespoons butter or 6 tablespoons margarine
2 cups sour cream
3 (5 ounce) boxes Hungry Jack cheddar and bacon potato mix

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350. Spray a 13x9-inch baking pan with no stick cooking spray.
