Mom made these for Christmas every year when we were kids. These are better for kids than most candy so I indicated "healthy" but, of course they are still candy and not spinach, hehe.

1/2 cup(s) honey
1/2 cup(s) peanut butter
1 cup(s) dry powdered milk
1 cup(s) dry quick oats
- sprinkles, cocoa, coconut, chopped peanuts, etc. to roll finished candy in

Steps:

  • In a large mixer bowl combine honey and peanut butter. Add dry milk and quick oats gradually. Mixture will be stiff. Make teaspoons full of dough into small balls. Serve as is or roll to coat in goodies, if you like. I use cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and flaked coconut. Other ideas are chopped peanuts, sprinkles, and finely chopped cookie crumbs. Store in covered container in refrigerator.

1/2 cup shortening
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup honey
2 large eggs, room temperature, lightly beaten
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a bowl, mix shortening, peanut butter and honey. Add eggs; mix well. Combine flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder and salt; add to peanut butter mixture and mix well. , Roll into 1- to 1-1/2-in. balls and place on ungreased baking sheets. Flatten with a fork dipped in flour. Bake until set, 8-10 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool.

This is a recipe from my childhood. The lunch ladies used to make it at my elementary school. Luckily ... years later, I was able to get it from them.

1 cup peanut butter
1 cup honey
2 cups powdered milk
2 cups crushed corn flakes

Steps:

  • Combine peanut butter, honey, and powdered milk in mixing bowl. Mix well; mixture will be thick.
  • Place 1 cup of crushed corn flakes in bottom of 9x11 dish, spread evenly.
  • Dump peanut butter mixture on top of crushed corn flakes, spread, and top with remaining crushed corn flakes.
  • VARIATIONS - You can roll the peanut butter mixture into balls and then coat with the corn flakes.

This delicous mix of honey and peanut butter is an excellent combination. It is also very simple to make. My sister is six, and she has made it before!!

  • melt peanut butter and honey in the microwave on high for 40 seconds.
  • Mix in dry milk.

Here's what you need: roasted unsalted peanut, honey, salt, canola oil, food processor

3 cups roasted unsalted peanut
2 tablespoons honey
salt, to taste
2 tablespoons canola oil
food processor

Steps:

  • NOTE: If you have unroasted nuts, preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Spread peanuts onto a baking tray and bake for 10-12 minutes or until you can smell them.
  • In a food processor, blend peanuts. Scrape down the sides when necessary.
  • When the peanuts have broken down and become crumbly, add in honey and salt while still blending.
  • The mixture will turn into a ball and eventually even out.
  • Slowly add canola oil while still blending. Add more canola oil if you want a creamier texture.
  • Pour into a jar, store in a refrigerator and use within one month.
  • Enjoy!
