HOMEMADE IRISH (WHISKEY) CREAM

Homemade Irish (Whiskey) Cream image

This recipe turns out with the best flavour if you make it ahead and let it chill for 24 hours before serving. If you'd rather not serve it over crushed ice, chill the glass while you prepare the drink. Store leftovers in the refrigerator up to two months in an airtight container. If the Irish cream has been sitting in the refrigerator, shake it before serving.

HOMEMADE BAILEYS IRISH CREAM

Homemade Baileys Irish Cream image

This tastes just like the store-bought version. I make it every year, before Christmas, to give as gifts (and of course to keep some for ourselves!). It ends up being less expensive than buying from the store AND you get to say that you made it yourself! :) *Note about raw eggs: Even though pasteurized and refrigerated eggs are typically safe, there can never be a guarantee that an egg is free from salmonella. One reviewer said she skipped the eggs in this recipe and it still tasted great. I haven't tried it that way yet, but that could be an option. You can find detailed information on the cdc website, etc...

HOMEMADE IRISH CREAM

Homemade Irish Cream image

Of all the Irish cream recipes here, I haven't found any quite like this one. I gave a bottle to my cousin and his wife for Christmas one year and he claims it's better than the original! Can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 weeks -- if it actually lasts that long!!
