These super simple Holly Cookies are a great addition to holiday baking!

Steps:
- In a large pot, melt the butter and marshmallows over medium heat, stirring constantly. Add the vanilla and food coloring. Stir in the corn flakes.
- Grease a spoon and drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a greased cookie sheet, or vegetable oil sprayed wax paper. Place 3 red cinnamon candies on each bunch of "holly," pressing slightly so they stick.
- Let sit until they have cooled and set.

- Unfold pastry sheets onto a lightly floured surface. From each sheet, cut out 12 leaves with a floured 3-1/2-in. leaf-shaped cookie cutter. Place on ungreased baking sheets. With a toothpick, score veins in leaves. In a small bowl, beat egg and water; brush over pastry. , Bake at 400° for 12-14 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks to cool. , In a large bowl, combine the cheeses, parsley and pesto. Cut each pastry leaf in half. Spread 1 tablespoon cheese mixture over bottom half; replace top. Add a pimiento piece on each for a holly berry. Refrigerate leftovers.

I first had these about 23 years ago and thought they were so unique I asked for the recipe. I made some a few years back and put them around a platter and they made a perfect decoration, so perfect no one ate them. I asked why and everyone said they didn't know they were cookies. lol

- 1. Melt butter & marshmellows, stir in vanilla and green food coloring.
- 2. Add corn flakes and mix until coverd with coloring. Drob by teaspoons full on wax paper.
- 3. Trim each with 3 cinnamon candies.
HOLLY LEAVES (NO BAKE)
This is like a version of rice krispie treats, but I think this is a little better for the Christmas holidays.

- In a double boiler, melt margarine.
- Add marshmallows a few at a time.
- Stir until marshmallows are completely melted.
- Add green food coloring and remove from heat.
- Stir in corn flakes gently.
- Drop by spoonful on waxed paper.
- Put 3 red hots on each spoonful to resemble holly berries.
