HEAVENLY HASH FRUIT SALAD

Heavenly Hash Fruit Salad image

We love how this fruit salad recipe has been passed through generations and adapted along the way. The mixture of fruit, the crunch of the apples, and the texture of the walnuts make this an amazing fruit salad. The oranges and pineapple are nicely balanced with the other fruit flavors. Things get special with the creamy...

1 bottle maraschino cherries, seeded, stemmed and well drained, 8 oz
2 can(s) mandarin orange sections, well drained, 10.5 oz each
1 bunch celery hearts, cut into small cubes (leaves removed)

  • 6. Add walnut pieces to the salad bowl.
  • 7. To make the salad dressing, place thawed Cool Whip in a medium mixing bowl. Add mayonnaise and whisk them together. Add sugar, spices, and rum (or almond) extract.

HEAVENLY PINK DESSERT SALAD

Heavenly Pink Dessert Salad image

This perfectly pink fruit and cool whip concoction is more of a dessert than a salad, but oh so good. SO EASY! Similar recipes are posted, but none with cream cheese, which I think gives it a great rich flavor. It makes a ton, but keeps for at least a week in the fridge. You could always scale down, and could be easily made with fat free substitutions.

HEAVENLY PASTA SALAD

Heavenly Pasta Salad image

This is a great recipe for macaroni/pasta salad that we have ever eaten (and I don't like pasta salad). My mother-in-law is famous for macaroni salad and switched to this recipe when I took it to her house for dinner! This is one you really must try!

Provided by Z5370

Categories     Pasta Shells

Time 1h

Yield 15 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 11

16 ounces pasta shells (I use the small ones)
1/2 lb grape tomatoes (optional)
3 medium carrots, grated
1 medium green sweet pepper, finely diced
1 medium sweet red pepper, finely diced
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups Miracle Whip
1/2 cup sugar (I never add this because it makes it too sweet)
1/4 cup white vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper

Steps:

  • Cook pasta until bite tender. Rinse and drain. Let cool. Add remaining ingredients to pasta. Mix dressing ingredients in a separate bowl. Add to pasta mixture.
  • Refrigerate a couple hours before serving. My M-I-L only puts the red and green peppers in hers. I like the carrots and tomatoes added in as well.

HEAVENLY SALAD

Heavenly Salad image

This is just what our family thinks of when we eat this recipe. This is a recipe that my mother, Ruth made when I was a child and has been one of my own children's favorites as well. This recipe gives me special memories of all the wonderful food my mother cooked when I was a child as well as today when we visit her home. I normally add extra sugar and red food coloring to make the dessert light pink. You can add sugar as you desire for a sweeter taste if you prefer.

HEAVENLY AMBROSIA SALAD

Heavenly Ambrosia Salad image

Ambrosia Salad is very yummy, but I hate canned fruit and they way the dessert turns if you leave it in the fridge more than a day. I don't put fruit into mine, I serve it with sliced bananas on-top instead. I don't mix the banana slices into the pudding mixture because they will go brown and discolor the dessert, wait until serving. This is an easy recipe you can easily make ahead. The coconut, nuts, and marshmallows can all be adjusted to your liking, adding more or less where desired.
