HEARTY OATMEAL & BRAN CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
These hearty cookies are great, very filling. They are not too sweet so they go well with brunch. If you want a healthier alternative, add raisins instead of chocolate chips. Enjoy :)

Steps:
- Cream butter, peanut butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla.
- Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; blend into creamed mixture.
- Stir in chocolate chips, cereal, bran, rolled oats and peanuts.
- Preheat oven at 375 degrees.
- Form small balls unto greased baking sheets (for chewy cookies leave in a ball, for crispier cookies flatten a bit).
- Bake in oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Cool on racks.

- In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until creamy. Beat in egg, milk and vanilla; mix until light and fluffy.
- Stir in oats, flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon until well blended.
- Stir in chips, raisins and pecans.
- Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart unto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheets. Remove from cookie sheets and cool completely on a wire rack.
