A quick and easy way to make an excellent and inexpensive dinner.

3 tablespoons minced garlic
salt and ground black pepper to taste
12 chicken legs, thawed
1 pinch garlic powder, or to taste
1 (12 ounce) bottle hot pepper sauce (such as Frank's® RedHot)
½ cup butter, melted

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Line a jelly roll pan with aluminum foil and place a wire baking rack on top.
  • Fill a large pot with water. Add minced garlic, salt, and pepper; bring to a boil. Add chicken legs; cook until tender, about 10 minutes. Drain.
  • Arrange chicken legs on the wire rack. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Flip and continue baking until juices run clear, about 20 minutes more.
  • Transfer chicken legs to a slow cooker. Cover with hot pepper sauce and melted butter.
  • Cook on Low until flavors combine, 1 to 2 hours.

This is just like spicy chicken wings, only less work. Cooks up nicely in the slow cooker! A quick meal that is super easy and oh so yummy! For crispier chicken, bake in a 400 degrees F oven for the final 30 minutes.

12 chicken drumsticks
1 (5 ounce) bottle hot red pepper sauce
¼ cup butter, cubed
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
salt and pepper to taste
1 ½ cups blue cheese salad dressing

Steps:

  • Place the drumsticks in a slow cooker, and sprinkle evenly with pieces of butter. Pour the hot sauce over the chicken, then season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Cover, and cook on High for 3 hours, or until tender. Serve chicken legs with blue cheese dressing on the side.

1 (5 ounce) bottle Louisiana style hot sauce
2 tablespoons granular sucrolose sweetener (such as Splenda®)
1 tablespoon butter
12 skinless chicken drumsticks

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, stir together the chili garlic sauce, hot sauce and sweetener. Set aside.
  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the drumsticks, and cook until browned on the outside, turning as needed. Reduce heat to medium-low, and spoon sauce over the chicken to coat. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until chicken has cooked through and sauce is thick and sticky, about 20 minutes.
