1 package (30 ounces) frozen shredded hash brown potatoes
4 cups water
1 large onion, chopped
2 celery ribs, sliced
4 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 cans (10-3/4 ounces each) condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
4 cups 2% milk
2 cups cubed fully cooked ham
1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
1-1/2 teaspoons garlic salt
8 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled

Steps:

  • In a 6-qt. stockpot, combine the first seven ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, covered, 15-20 minutes or until vegetables are tender., Mash potatoes and vegetables to desired consistency. Stir in condensed soup and milk until blended. Add ham, parsley and garlic salt; heat through. Sprinkle servings with bacon.

½ pound bacon
1 (2 pound) package frozen hash brown potatoes
2 (16 ounce) packages frozen O'Brien hash brown potatoes
8 cubes chicken bouillon
1 teaspoon celery seed
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
8 (10.75 ounce) cans cream of chicken soup, undiluted
2 quarts milk

Steps:

  • Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain on paper towels, reserving drippings in the skillet. Chop bacon into smaller pieces.
  • Combine hash brown potatoes, O'Brien hash brown potatoes, chicken bouillon, celery seed, and black pepper in a large pot over medium heat; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, until potatoes are tender, 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Puree potatoes with an immersion blender until smooth.
  • Pour reserved bacon drippings, cream of chicken soup, and milk into the pot. Simmer until heated through, about 10 minutes. Sprinkle chopped bacon on top.

42 ounces chicken broth
1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 large potato, peeled and diced
½ cup chopped onion

⅓ cup shredded Cheddar cheese, or to taste
2 tablespoons bacon bits, or to taste

6 cups water
1/3 cup chopped onion
2 cans (10-3/4 ounces each) condensed cream of celery soup, undiluted
4 ounces process cheese (Velveeta), cubed
1 cup sour cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

2 Tbsp butter
2 c shredded carrots
1/2 can(s) diced onions (or more, to taste)
3 Tbsp flour
20 oz simply potatoes shredded hash browns
1 c cooked real bacon bits (such as costco's)
5 c chicken broth
1/4 tsp dried tarragon
1/4 tsp dried marjoram
1/2 Tbsp dried parsley
1/2 Tbsp dried chives
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
1 c half and half
1 c milk
2 c shredded cheddar cheese
salt and pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Melt butter in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Saute carrots and onion until they begin to soften.
  • 2. Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and stir to combine. Cook for 30 seconds.
  • 3. Add broth and seasonings.
  • 4. Add hash browns and and bacon; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook until potatoes are tender.
  • 5. Add half and half and milk and cook 5-10 minutes, being careful not to scald milk.
  • 6. Stir in cheese until melted and soup is hot. Taste for seasoning and serve.
