OWEN'S VEGGIE STIR-FRY
Stir-frying is very quick, and helps retain the flavor of the vegetables. This is a recipe all vegetarians have to try! Fluffy white rice is the perfect complement to this dish.

Steps:
- Whisk together the cornstarch and water in a small bowl. Mix in the soy sauce and olive oil, and set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Saute the carrot, pepper, and zucchini in oil for about 5 minutes. Stir in the corn, garlic, green onions, and bean sprouts. Pour in the soy sauce mixture. Cook and stir for about 5 minutes, or until vegetables are tender but crisp. Serve immediately.

RICE WITH BEAN SPROUTS
A wonderful side dish or a nice lite lunch. Make a double batch as this reheats beautifully in the microwave.

Steps:
- Prepare steamed rice, or use leftover rice.
- I usse white long grain rice.
- Place a wok or heavy fry pan over medium heat.
- When pan is hot, add sesame seeds and stir until golden (about 1 min).
- Pour seeds out of pan, crush coarsely with mortar and pestle, or whirl very briefly in blender.
- Set aside.
- Return pan to medium heat.
- When pan is hot, add oil.
- When oil is hot, add scallions and garlic.
- Stir fry until onions are soft.
- Add bean sprouts and stir until heated through being careful not to overcook.
- Add rice and soy to pan.
- Mix gently.
- Add sesame seed, mix gently.
- serve.
