Golden raisins and lemon zest give this broccoli salad its fruity appeal. (We think its flavor is pretty golden, too!)

Number Of Ingredients 6

5 cups broccoli florets
1/2 cup KRAFT Classic Ranch Dressing
1/4 cup golden raisins
2 Tbsp. finely chopped red onions
1/2 tsp. grated lemon zest
2 Tbsp. chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Cook broccoli in boiling water 1 min. Rinse with cold water; drain well.
  • Toss broccoli with dressing, raisins, onions and lemon peel in large bowl; cover.
  • Refrigerate at least 30 min. Sprinkle with pecans just before serving.

1 (16 ounce) package frozen chopped broccoli
1 (7 1/2 ounce) can semicondensed cream of mushroom soup
1/4 cup shredded American cheese
2 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
2 tablespoons crushed crackers

Steps:

  • Cook frozen broccoli according to package directions; drain.
  • Transfer to a 1-1/2 quart casserole.
  • Combine soup, cheese, milk, mayonnaise.
  • Stir into broccoli.
  • Top with crushed crackers.
  • Bake at 350* for 30 minutes.

This is a dish my wife had to learn to make in her high school home economics class. I've adapted and renamed it. To me, it has no equal and brings to mind those special days of the '40's. -Richard, Ramsey Eugene, Oregon

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 hard-boiled large eggs
2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons butter, softened and divided
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon white pepper
1 cup milk
2 slices bread, toasted

Steps:

  • Cut eggs in half; remove yolks and set aside. Chop egg whites; set aside. In a small saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons butter. Stir in the flour, salt and pepper until smooth. Gradually stir in milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 1-2 minutes or until thickened., Stir in egg whites; heat through. Spread each slice of toast with 1 teaspoon remaining butter. Pour sauce over toast. Force egg yolks through a sieve to break into small pieces; sprinkle over sauce.
