CRUNCHY FRUITY GRANOLA

Crunchy Fruity Granola image

Adapted from a recipe from Mollie Katzen's 'Salad People'. I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds like a good recipe. It's a little different from the scores of other granola recipes already here. Time doesn't include cooling time.

Time 40m

Yield 8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 10

3 cups rolled oats
1 1/4 cups nuts, chopped (such as almonds, cashews, and hazelnuts)
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/4 cup flax seed
1/2 teaspoon salt (omit if using salted nuts) (optional)
1/3 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup canola oil
1/2 cup honey
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 cup assorted dried fruit (such as raisins, dried tropical fruit mix, and dried berries)
