2 tall frosted (optional) glasses
1 can diet lemon lime soda, 1 can diet ginger ale, or 12 ounces seltzer water (cold)
12 ounces fruit juice or lemonade (cold)

Steps:

  • In each glass combine 6 oz. (or half the can) of diet soda or seltzer water. Then add 6 oz. of juice or lemonade in glass.
  • Make sure liquids are chilled before mixing as ice is not recommended, however can be added for taste. All ingredients can be increased or decreased upon personal preference.
  • Garnish with a fruit wedge, citrus fruit peel, or mint leaf. Creativity is key!

Carbonated Virgin Fruit cocktail. Found online and I have yet to try it. Try using different juice combinations: orange/pineapple, orange/cranberry, or grapefruit/orange.

12 strawberries with stems
1 750-ml bottle chilled Viognier
3 cups chilled sparkling water
1 1/2 cups chilled tangerine juice
1 1/2 cups chilled pomegranate juice
10 fresh mint leaves
1 1/2 cups crushed ice cubes
2 unpeeled tangerines, sliced into thin rounds
Special Equipment
1 12-cup pitcher

Steps:

  • Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Place strawberries on prepared sheet. Freeze until frozen, about 3 hours. DO AHEAD: Can be made 1 week ahead. Transfer to resealable plastic bag. Release excess air, seal bag, and keep frozen.
  • Mix wine, sparkling water, tangerine juice, and pomegranate juice in 12-cup pitcher. Using fingers, crush mint leaves; add to pitcher. Add ice and tangerines; stir.
  • Place 1 frozen strawberry in each of 12 wineglasses or tumblers. Divide spritzer among glasses and serve.

4 cups cold water
3 bags regular size green tea
1/3 cup honey
2 cups passion fruit nectar
chilled sparkling water, as needed
fresh mint sprig

Steps:

  • In a saucepan, bring 2 cups water to a gentle boil.
  • Add the tea bags, cover, and remove saucepan from the heat.
  • Steep for 15 minutes.
  • Remove tea bags without squeezing them.
  • Add in the honey and stir until dissolved.
  • Pour the tea into a 2-quart pitcher.
  • Add the remaining 2 cups cold water and passion fruit nectar; stir to combine.
  • Let cool, then chill in the refrigerator.
  • Fill each ice-filled glass three-fourths full with tea; then top off with sparkling water.
  • Garnish with a fresh mint sprig.

1/2 cup sugar
Fresh seasonal fruit, such as 8 cups cubed seedless watermelon, 6 cups cubed honeydew melon, 6 cups cubed cantaloupe, 6 cups cubed mango, or 4 1/4 cups raspberries
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
Pinch of coarse salt
Sparkling water, or club soda

Steps:

  • 1. Put sugar and 1 cup water into a medium saucepan; bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring to dissolve sugar. Remove from heat; let cool slightly. 2. Puree fruit, syrup, lemon juice, and salt in a blender. Pour through a fine sieve into a bowl. Refrigerate until cold, at least 30 minutes (up to 2 days). 3. To serve, fill 8 medium glasses with ice; pour 1/2 cup puree into each glass, and top off with sparkling water. Stir to combine. Serve immediately.
