Looking for a quick cold drink idea? Make ahead this delicious fruity smoothie blending bananas, crushed pineapple and frozen strawberries and freeze in as cubes to store till use!

3 ripe bananas
1 (8-oz.) can crushed pineapple in unsweetened juice, undrained
1 (10-oz.) pkg. frozen sweetened sliced strawberries in syrup, slightly thawed, broken up

Steps:

  • Line 24 muffin cups with paper baking cups or use 2 ice cube trays. In blender container, combine all ingredients; blend until smooth, stopping blender and scraping down sides 2 or 3 times.
  • Divided mixture evenly into paper-lined cups or ice cube trays (about 2 1/2 tablespoons each). Freeze 3 hours or until solid.
  • Let fruit cubes stand at room temperature for 1 minute. Remove from cups and remove paper, or remove from ice cube trays. Place cubes in resealable freezer plastic bags. Store in freezer until ready to use.

3 cups fresh or frozen mango
1 tablespoon fresh turmeric, peeled and finely grated
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/4-1/2 cup water to help blend
3 cups fresh pineapple
1 tablespoon fresh ginger root, peeled and finely grated

Steps:

  • Peel and finely grate fresh ginger.
  • Peel and chop pineapple.
  • Add the chopped pineapple and grated ginger to a high powered blender and blend until pureed.
  • Using a spoon, fill an ice cube tray with the fruit puree and place in the freezer for 4-6 hour or until frozen solid.
  • Peel and finely grate fresh turmeric.
  • Peel and chop mango. You can also use frozen mango.
  • Add the chopped mango, grated turmeric and black pepper to a high powered blender and blend until pureed.
  • You may need to add 1/4 -1/2 cup water to puree the mango.
  • Using a spoon, fill an ice cube tray with the fruit puree and place in the freezer for 4-6 hour or until frozen solid.
