This is a great, easy burger recipe. The ground beef is combined with green chile peppers and beef bouillon. This makes them very moist and flavorful. Serve on hamburger buns with your favorite fixings.

1 pound ground beef
1 (4 ounce) can diced green chilies, drained
1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules
4 slices Monterey Jack cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat grill for high heat.
  • In a medium bowl, mix the beef, diced green chilies, and bouillon. Shape into 4 patties.
  • Lightly oil the grill grate. Grill patties 5 minutes per side, or until well done. Top each patty with cheese about 2 minutes prior to removing from grill.

1 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)
1/4 cup chunky salsa
4 frozen breaded cheddar cheese jalapeno peppers, thawed
4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
1/4 cup guacamole
4 lettuce leaves
1/4 cup salsa con queso dip
1/4 cup sliced plum tomatoes
2 tablespoons sliced ripe olives
4 thin slices sweet onion

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the beef and salsa. Shape into four patties. Place a jalapeno in the center of each; wrap beef around jalapeno, forming a ball. Reshape into patties, about 3-1/2 to 4 in. in diameter and 1 in. thick. , Grill, covered, over medium-hot heat for 7-8 minutes on each side or until meat is no longer pink and a thermometer reads 160°. , Spread bun tops with guacamole. On each bun bottom, layer lettuce, a burger, salsa con queso dip, tomatoes, olives and onion; replace tops.

6 sesame seed sandwich rolls, split, toasted
1 cup watercress or mixed spring greens
Seasoning:
1 tablespoon curry powder
1 tablespoon Caribbean jerk seasoning
1 teaspoon salt
Sauce:
1/2 cup reduced-fat mayonnaise
1/4 cup low-fat plain yogurt
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
2 teaspoons grated lime peel
1/4 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • 1) Combine Ground Beef and seasoning ingredients in large bowl, mixing lightly but thoroughly. Shape into six 1/2-inch thick patties. Place patties on grid over medium, ash-covered coals. Grill, covered, 8 to 10 minutes (over medium heat on preheated gas grill, 7 to 9 minutes) until instant-read thermometer inserted horizontally into center registers 160°F, turning occasionally. 2) Meanwhile, combine sauce ingredients in small bowl; set aside. 3) Spread sauce on cut sides of rolls. 2 teaspoons breadcrumbs, seasoned
1 egg, beaten

Steps:

2 medium red bell pepper
6 oz. Pepper jack cheese
3 lbs lean ground beef
seasoned salt
pepper
6 onion hamburger buns
1 ripe avocado
1 tblsp lemon juice
½ c mayonnaise
½ c salsa
1 tsp red pepper flakes
romaine lettuce
red onion, sliced

Steps:

  • Roast red peppers over charcoal fire and dice when done. Set aside. In small bowl grate pepper jack cheese and add diced red pepper. Mix and set aside. Shape ground beef into 12 hamburger patties. Salt and pepper patties. Place 1/6 of cheese/red pepper mixture on 6 of the patties. Top with remaining 6 patties and press edges together, forming 6 patties. Grill till done. Grill buns till toasted. Mash avocado and add lemon juice, mayonnaise, salsa and red pepper flakes. Mix well. Spread avocado mixture on bun bottoms. Top with a hamburger patty, lettuce and a slice of red onion. Serve and enjoy.

1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sour cream
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon chili powder
1-2 canned chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, drained and chopped (reserve 2 tablespoons adobo sauce.)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 lb. ground raw turkey or chicken
4 poppy seed rolls or hamburger buns, split and toasted
4 lettuce leaves
4 tomato slices
8-12 avocado slices (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. For sauce, in a small bowl stir together mayonnaise, sour cream, 1 clove minced garlic and black pepper. Cover and chill until serving time. 2. For burgers, in a large bowl, combine bread crumbs, water, 2 cloves minced garlic, chili powder, chipotle peppers, salt and 2 tablespoons water. Add ground raw turkey or chicken; mix well. Shape turkey mixture into 4, 3/4" thick patties. 3. Place patties on the rack of an uncovered grill directly over medium coals. Grill for 14-18 minutes or until no longer pink, turning once halfway through grilling. Remove patties from grill. 4. To serve, spread bottoms of rolls with adobo sauce. Top each with a turkey or chicken patty. Spoon mayonnaise-sour cream mixture over the top. Add lettuce leaves, tomato slices and if desired, avocado slices. Cover with roll on top.
