FESTIVE HOLIDAY CRANBERRY RELISH
This festive side dish has been in our family for generations. It goes exceptionally well with ham or turkey. A great recipe for Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner.

Steps:
- Stir cranberries, sugar, orange juice, water, lime juice, 1 teaspoon orange zest, and lime zest together in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cook at a simmer until cranberries pop, about 20 minutes. Set aside to cool to room temperature.
- Transfer cooled sauce to serving bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate until cold, about 1 hour. Garnish with a pinch of orange zest to serve.

This recipe was given to me by a friend of mine. It has been a family favorite for over ten years. I make it for Thanksgiving as well as Christmas dinner.

Steps:
- Place fresh cranberries and water in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Wrap cloves, allspice berries and cinnamon sticks in a spice bag. Place in the water with cranberries.
- Cook until cranberries begin to burst, about 10 minutes.
- Stir in sugar and reduce heat to low. Continue cooking 5 minutes, or until sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Discard spice bag. Chill in the refrigerator 8 hours, or overnight, before serving.

- 2. Gently mix almonds & craisins with sauce.
