In my quest of fudge recipes - this one is a little of this and a little of that and comes closest to an old Chicago favorite

Yield 80 bite size pireces

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 cup butter
4 cups sugar
1 cup skim milk
25 large marshmallows
13 ounces Hershey Bars
12 ounces nestle chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Steps:

  • Mix butter,, sugar and milk until warm (not hot).
  • Add marshmallows and heat until they melt.
  • Bring to boil.
  • Remove from heat and add Hershey bar, chocolate chips and nuts.
  • Stir until chocolate is dissolved.
  • Pour into buttered 9 x 13 inch pan.
  • Refreigerate until firm.

Esther's Fannie May Fudge image

Melt in your mouth, yummy fudge that makes plenty to share. The easiest fudge recipe that I have ever made.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 cup margarine
1 cup evaporated milk
12 ounces chocolate chips (semi-sweet)
13 ounces of milk chocolate Hershey Bars
4 cups granulated sugar
25 large marshmallows
2 one-ounce baking chocolate squares (or equivalent)
1 cup nuts, if desired

Steps:

  • Bring margarine, milk, sugar, and marshmallows to a full boil that cannot be stirred down.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Add all of the chocolate and stir until melted and well-mixed.
  • Stir in nuts, if desired.
  • Pour into greased or buttered jelly roll pan.
  • Cool and cut.

1/2 cup butter
3 2/3 cups sugar
1 1/8 cups brown sugar
13 ounces hershey chocolate candy bars
13 ounces evaporated milk
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
12 ounces chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 -2 cup nuts
32 large marshmallows

Steps:

  • combine butter, sugar, milk in large pan. Stir until dissolved. Stir a few times until boils. Cover and let boil 5 minutes with 3 stirrings.
  • Remove from heat, add marshmellows, stir until dissolved, add vanilla and nuts. Add chocolate 1 at a time. Stir until dissolved. Pour in greased pan- (1) 10 x 15 pan or (2) 13 x 9 pans.
  • May or may not leave refrigerated.
