Asparagus is so good in the spring, and sometimes, you can find the really thick spears, like I did. This lovely side dish is ready in just a few minutes to enhance a weeknight dinner, or maybe something more special. Please be aware that different brands and sizes of air fryers may produce different results. If your asparagus is thin, reduce the cooking time.

1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
½ teaspoon seasoned salt, or to taste
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons dried bread crumbs
cooking spray

Steps:

  • Preheat a 5.8-quart air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) according to manufacturer's instructions.
  • Place asparagus spears in a large bowl and toss with olive oil and seasoned salt.
  • Combine grated Parmesan cheese and bread crumbs in a bowl. Toss with asparagus spears until evenly coated. Lightly spray air fryer basket with cooking spray and add the asparagus in a single layer. Air fry to desired doneness, 7 to 10 minutes. Serve warm.

1 bunch fresh asparagus
1 Tablespoon olive oil
non-stick cooking spray
garlic salt (to taste)
salt and pepper (to taste)

Steps:

  • Trim the hard ends off of the asparagus.
  • Drizzle the asparagus with the olive oil and season with garlic salt, salt, and pepper as desired.
  • Spray the bottom of the air fryer pan with non-stick cooking spray for easy clean up.
  • Place the asparagus in a single layer in the bottom of the air fryer.
  • Set the air fryer to 400 degrees and set the timer for 8 minutes. If asparagus is thin, start checking for doneness at 6 minutes.

½ tablespoon olive oil
½ tablespoon balsamic vinegar
½ teaspoon garlic powder
2 sprigs fresh rosemary, minced
½ teaspoon sea salt
freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 medium lemons, quartered

Steps:

  • Preheat an air fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Combine asparagus, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic powder, rosemary, sea salt, and black pepper in a large bowl. Toss to evenly coat the asparagus.
