GARLIC LOVERS DIP

Time 9h25m

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 package s Philadelphia Cream Cheese
6-9 cloves garlic
2 teaspoon s garlic powder
2-4 tablespoons pickle juice

Steps:

  • Take the Philadelphia Cream Cheese and put them through the microwave for about 25 seconds. Peel and then run garlic through a garlic press (amount depending on the size of the cloves and how much your friends like garlic) into the warm Philadelphia cream cheese. Add garlic powder and a splash of pickle juice.
  • Then get a big strong spoon and mix and squeeze it all together thoroughly. Keep adding small amounts of pickle juice until you get it a little thinner than necessary as it will harden up a bit when the Philadelphia Cream Cheese cools. (Ideally you want to be able to use a ridged potato chip in the dip without breaking).
  • Put in the refrigerator overnight to ferment and take out about an hour before serving to bring it up to room temperature.

COPYCAT TASTEFULLY SIMPLE - GARLIC GARLIC DIP

Copycat Tastefully Simple - Garlic Garlic Dip image

I have not tried this yet, I found it on wittyliving.com and adapted it to include far less salt. The original called for an entire tablespoon of salt, and I imagined eating play-doh. I hope this is as delecious as the original. Update, I have since tried a few variants of this, with no real success. Each batch seems to come out thick and pasty, instead of creamy, even with a decrease of the dry ingredients. I was actually hoping to delete this recipe, but cannot find that option. Sorry.
