THESE MAKE GREAT SNACKS AND STARTERS. A GOOD ADDITION TO YOUR GAMEDAY MENU. YOU CAN ALSO FILL THESE UP WITH PUDDING, EGG SALAD, CHEESE... ANYTHING IS GOOD.

3 4 1/2 oz. cans deviled ham
1/2 c sour cream
1 2 oz jar pimientos ( drained)
1/4 c minced celery
1 Tbsp prepared horseradish
1/4 tsp onion salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 stick of butter ( 8 tbls )
1 c all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
4 large eggs

Steps:

  • 1. COMBINE FIRST 7 INGREDIENTS IN A MEDIUM BOWL AND MIX WELL. CHILL COVERED FOR 1 HOUR.
  • 2. PRE HEAT OVEN TO 400 DEGREES
  • 3. PLACE BUTTER AND WATER IN MEDIUM SAUCEPAN. BRING TO A ROLLING BOIL OVER HIGH HEAT. GRADUALLY STIR IN FLOUR AND SALT, STIRRING CONTINUALLY OVER LOW HEAT UNTIL MIXTURE FORMS A BALL. ABOUT 1 MINUTE. REMOVE FROM HEAT. ADD EGGS AND BEAT UNTIL DOUGH IS SMOOTH AND GLOSSY.
  • 4. DROP BY ROUNDED TEASPOONFULS ONTO BAKING SHEET. BAKE UNTIL PUFFED AND GOLDEN BROWN, ABOUT 25 MIN. REMOVE TO WIRE RACK TO COOL
  • 5. CUT OFF TOP OF EACH PUFF AND RESERVE. REMOVE SOFT CENTER AND DISCARD. SPOON 1 ROUNDED TEASPOONFUL OF HAM MIXTURE INTO EACH PUFF. REPLACE EACH TOP.

Yield 24 deviled ham puffs

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 teaspoon onion juice
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg yolk, beaten
salt, to taste
24 small bread rounds (1 1/2 inch in diameter)
2 (2 1/2 ounce) cans deviled ham

Steps:

  • Blend together the cheese, onion juice, baking powder, egg yolk, and salt.
  • Toast the bread round on one side.
  • Spread the untoasted side with deviled ham and cover each with a mound of the cheese mixture.
  • Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until puffed and brown.
  • Serve hot.

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 drops tabasco sauce
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
4 1/2 oz deviled ham
8 slice white bread
1/2 lb cheddar cheese, shredded
3 eggs, slightly beaten
2 c milk
1 Tbsp pimentos, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
salt and pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Grease shallow baking dish or 2 qt. casserole well.
  • 2. Blend Tabasco and Worcestershire sauce with deviled ham. Spread evenly onto each slice of bread. Cut bread into 1-inch squares.
  • 3. Place layer of bread in baking dish. Sprinkle with 1/2 of the cheese. Repeat. Blend eggs, milk, pimento, salt and pepper; pour over bread and cheese. Let stand for about 15 minutes.
  • 4. Bake in a 350ºF oven until puffed and brown, about 20 minutes.

1 tablespoon chili sauce
1/2 teaspoon mustard prepared

  • In a small bowl mix cream cheese, deviled ham, chili sauce and mustard until well blended.
