2 (12 ounce) bags broccoli slaw mix
1 (6 ounce) bag dried cranberries
1 (4 ounce) bag sunflower seeds or 1 (4 ounce) bag sesame seeds
8 green onions, thinly sliced
1 (3 ounce) package ramen noodles, uncooked and crushed
1/3 cup rice wine vinegar
1/4 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup sesame oil

Steps:

  • For dressing:.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine the vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper. Drizzle in the oil, whisking as you go, until well mixed and set aside.
  • For slaw:.
  • Heat a dry medium frying pan over low heat and toast the nuts or seeds for about 1 minute until lightly browned and/or fragrant. Turn off heat and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine the slaw mix, onions, nuts or seeds, cranberries and ramen noodles. Drizzle with dressing and toss until well coated. Refrigerate until serving.

1 cup broccoli slaw mix
1/2 cup baby carrots, chopped small
1/2 cup cucumber, chopped
1 scallion, sliced thin
1/4-1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
1/4 cup vegetable oil (I used corn oil)
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
1/8 cup rice vinegar
1 -2 teaspoon peanut butter
1/8 cup sugar (more or less to taste)
salt
pepper

Steps:

  • Mix the broccoli slaw, carrots, cucumbers, scallion and cilantro in a medium bowl.
  • In a jar, mix the oil, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, peanut butter, sugar, salt and pepper. Stir vigorously to mix(or you could mix in a food processor or blender).
  • Pour over salad and toss well to mix.
  • Enjoy!

1 - 12 or 16 oz bag of broccoli cole slaw mix
1 - can water chestnuts, chopped
1 - cup mandarine oranges, rinsed
1 - cup purple onion, chopped
1/4 - cup slivered almonds
1/2 - cup shelled sunflower seeds
2/3 - cup newmans own lighten up low fat ginger sesame dressing

Steps:

  • Directions: In a large bowl, toss all ingredients together, and mix well. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Stir well before serving. Enjoy! MAKES 6 SERVINGS

8 slices bacon
2 broccoli, crown
1 small red onion, minced
1/3 cup golden raisin
1/3 cup best food mayonnaise
3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons honey
salt
pepper

Steps:

  • Cook bacon in a large skillet or on a griddle over medium heat until browned and crisp. Drain on paper towels. Crumble into 1/2" pieces; set aside.
  • Cut florets from broccoli stems and chop into small pieces. Transfer to a salad bowl and toss with minced onion and raisins.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise and vinegar until smooth. Add honey, salt and pepper, whisking to combine. Pour dressing over broccoli mixture and toss to coat evenly. Crumble bacon pieces over broccoli slaw and serve immediately.

3 scallions, chopped
2 ounces raw sunflower seeds
1/4 cup Dr. Fuhrman's Riesling Raisin Vinegar
1 tablespoon Dr. Fuhrman's Black Fig Vinegar
1/2 teaspoon Dr. Fuhrman's VegiZest
romaine lettuce (optional)

Steps:

  • Combine broccoli slaw, scallions, and sunflower seeds. With wire whisk combine the vinegars and VegiZest. Pour over the broccoli slaw mixture and toss. Serve on bed of romaine lettuce, if desired.
