Steps:
- Dice the ham, green beans, onion if you are using it, and potatoes. Plunk it all into your crockpot, add 3 cups of water and season with salt & pepper ( according to taste) I like to use Steak Spice in mine. Cook for 6 hrs on Low.
- (I might use chicken broth instead, for more flavor)

- Add all ingredients to a 3 quart crockpot . Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours. Remove onion and garlic before serving. Goes with anything but I like it with roast beef best.
CROCKPOT GREEN BEANS AND POTATOES
I had a bunch of Fresh Green Beans that I needed to use up from another recipe I made recently. I was longing for some Green beans like Mom used to cook. So I came up with this Crockpot recipe. I usually cook a small amount on the Stove top using the same ingredients. You can use canned Green beans if you choose. Or use frozen beans.

Steps:
- wash and trim the beans. Snap into 1 to 2 inch pieces.
- Chop onion and start frying bacon until almost crisp.
- wash and cut your potatoes into quarters.
- add your ham base to 1 cup of water and boil or put in microwave to boil.
- Add your green beans to the crockpot along with chopped onion, potatoes and spices.
- pour ham base broth over all and add the cooked bacon.
- cook on high for 3 1/2 hours. check for doneness on the potatoes. add more time if needed. I did stir and move all around a few times to distribute ingredients and spices.

I am on a low salt diet so the spices and seasonings can be modified.

Steps:
- First, wash and snap your green beans
- Wash and cut your potatoes into slices *Note I used box of potatoes since I got from farmers market. You can use as much as you want
- take your turkey bacon and and rinse off and chop into diced squares
- chop your onion into one cup
- add all ingredients into crockpot
- Add 2-3 cups of water, 3 TBSP of butter( I use Brummel and Browns) and I added Mrs. Dash Salt Free spices, Oregano, and a shake of garlic powder. You don't have to use the seasonings I use. Anything tastes good in it.
- Cook on low for 5 hours
