This is one of my favorite recipes to make because I can flour and season the steaks and refrigerate them overnight. The next morning, I just put all the ingredients in the slow cooker, and I have a delicious dinner waiting when I arrive home from work. -Sarah Burks, Wathena, Kansas

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1-1/2 pounds beef round steak, cut into 6 pieces
1 medium onion, cut into 1/4-inch slices
1 celery rib, cut into 1/2-inch slices
2 cans (8 ounces each) tomato sauce

Steps:

  • In a bowl or shallow dish, combine the flour, salt and pepper. Add the steak and turn to coat. , Place the onion in a greased 3-qt. slow cooker. Top with the steak, celery and tomato sauce. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until meat is tender.

4 -6 steaks (or a hunk of tri-tip you cut into 4-6 steaks)
2 tablespoons A.1. Original Sauce
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1/4 cup white wine

Steps:

  • Combine the A-1 steak sauce and the dijon mustard in a little bowl. Paint the sauce mixture on all sides of each piece of meat. Place the meat into your crockpot. Pour in the 1/4 cup of white wine.
  • Cook on low for 6-8 hours.

1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 pounds boneless beef round steak, cut into serving-size pieces
6 teaspoons canola oil, divided
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme

Steps:

  • In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the flour, salt and pepper. Add beef, a few pieces at a time, and shake to coat. In a large skillet, brown meat on both sides in 4 teaspoons oil. Place in a 5-qt. slow cooker., In the same skillet, saute onion in remaining oil until lightly browned; place over beef. Combine the soup, oregano and thyme; pour over onion. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or until meat is tender.

1 beef top sirloin steak (1-1/2 pounds)
1 medium onion, cut into 1-inch chunks
1 medium green pepper, cut into 1-inch chunks
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) reduced-sodium beef broth
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon dill weed
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Dash crushed red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons cold water

Steps:

  • In a large nonstick skillet, brown beef on both sides. Place onion and green pepper in a 3-qt. slow cooker. Top with beef. Combine broth, Worcestershire sauce, dill, thyme, pepper and pepper flakes; pour over beef. Cover and cook on high until meat reaches desired doneness and vegetables are crisp-tender, 3-4 hours., Remove beef and keep warm. Combine cornstarch and water until smooth; gradually stir into cooking juices. Cover and cook on high until slightly thickened, about 30 minutes. Return beef to the slow cooker; heat through.

4 - 6 - steaks, your choice, or a tri-tip that you cut into 4 - 6 steaks
2 tablespoon(s) a-1 sauce
2 tablespoon(s) dijon mustard
1/4 - 1/2 cup(s) white wine

Steps:

  • Mix together the A-1 and Dijon.
  • Spread on all surfaces of the steaks.Place steaks into crock pot.
  • Pour wine around the steaks.
  • Cook in crock pot on LOW for 6 - 8 hours.
