CRESCENT ROLL COCONUT LEMON BARS

Lemon and coconut combine with an easy crescent crust to make these luscious bars.

Number Of Ingredients 10

8 oz crescent rolls
1 c sugar
1 c flaked coconut
2 Tbsp flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp grated lemon peel
1/4 tsp salt
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 Tbsp lemon juice
2 Tbsp butter, melted

Steps:

  • 1. Unroll dough into 2 long rectangles; place in ungreased 13 X 9 inch pan. Press over bottom and 1/2 inch up sides to form crust. Seal perforations.
  • 2. Bake at 375 degrees for 5 minutes.
  • 3. In a medium bowl, combine all filling ingredients. Pour over partially baked crust.
  • 4. Bake at 375 degrees for an additional 12 to 17 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool, cut into bars.

This is a recipe that is for all of you cheesecake lovers. This is one of my favorite recipes that my mother-in-law passed on to me. It's simple to make and the bars don't last at our house.

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 (8 ounce) packages crescent rolls (Reduced fat can be used to lighten recipe)
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened (Reduced fat can be used to lighten the recipe.)
1/4-1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Steps:

  • Remove roll from the refridgerator 20 minutes ahead of time.
  • Mix together 1 cup of sugar, egg yolk, vanilla and cream cheese in mixer.
  • Place 1 package of crescent rolls in bottom of a greased 9x13 pan.
  • Pour cream cheese mixture over top.
  • Put second package of rolls over top.
  • Beat egg white and spread over the top of rolls.
  • Mix remaining sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle on top.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
  • Cuts better if chilled overnight.

2 cans Pillsbury crescent rolls
2 blocks of cream cheese (softened, room temp.)
1/2 C. sugar
1 egg
1-2 C. fresh fruit
1-2 C. fruit syrup

Steps:

  • 1. Lightly grease sheet cake pan. Preheat oven to 350 degF. 2. Combine fruit and syrup. In another bowl, mix cream cheese, egg and sugar until well blended. 3. Arrange 1 can of crescent rolls in pan to cover completely. Spread cream cheese mixture to cover layer of crescent rolls. Pour fruit mixture over the cream cheese layer. Arrange remaining can of crescent rolls over mixture, covering completely. 4. Bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 20 minutes, then refrigerate to cool completely. Cut into squares.

Inspired by the popular Mexican pastry, these cinnamon-sugar cheesecake bars with their sweet cream cheese filling, crunchy sweet topping, and flaky croissant crust are dangerously good, and dangerously easy to make. Don't say we didn't warn you!

2 (8 ounce) packages refrigerated crescent dinner rolls, divided
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 ½ cups white sugar, divided
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Unroll one can of crescent roll dough. Place in the bottom of an ungreased 9x13-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish. Stretch to cover the bottom of the dish, firmly pressing perforations to seal.
  • Beat cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar in a bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Beat in vanilla extract. Spread cream cheese mixture over dough in the baking dish.
  • Unroll the second can of dough. Firmly press perforations to seal. Carefully place on top of the cream cheese layer. Pinch seams together and pour melted butter evenly over the top.
  • Mix remaining 1/2 cup sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle evenly over the butter.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until bars appear set when gently shaken, 30 to 35 minutes. Cool slightly for 30 minutes. Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to make cutting easier.
  • Cut into 4 rows by 3 rows. Cover and store any leftover bars in the refrigerator.
