Whenever I go to a party, everyone requests that I bring this Mediterranean dip. If you enjoy hummus and veggies, you will like this dip! Serve with homemade pita chips or tortilla chips.

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 ¼ cups hummus
1 cup chopped, seeded Roma tomatoes
1 cup chopped cucumbers
½ cup kalamata olives, sliced
⅓ cup chopped red onion
½ cup crumbled feta cheese

Steps:

  • Mix cream cheese, garlic, lemon juice, and Italian seasoning together. Spread mixture onto the bottom of a round 10-inch dish. Spread hummus on top.
  • Mix tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, and red onion together in a bowl; spread over the hummus. Sprinkle feta cheese on top. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

2 (15 1/2 ounce) cans garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 garlic clove, peeled
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/3 cup pimento stuffed olive, chopped

Steps:

  • In bowl of food processor, puree beans, 3 tablespoons lemon juice, and garlic for one minute, or until smooth.
  • With machine running, slowly pour in olive oil in steady stream. Stir in pimiento-stuffed olives. Transfer to serving bowl.
  • Serve dip with assorted vegetable, like green beans, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, and red peppers. Garnish with chopped olives, if desired.

1 carton (8 ounces) hummus
1 cup reduced-fat sour cream
1 jar (8 ounces) roasted sweet red peppers, drained and chopped
1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
1/4 cup chopped red onion
12 Greek olives, pitted and chopped
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Baked pita chips

Steps:

  • Spread hummus into a 9-in. pie plate. Top with sour cream, red peppers, cheese, onion and olives. Sprinkle with parsley. Refrigerate until serving. Serve with pita chips.

Four creamy vice-free dips

100g light soft cheese
50g fat-free bio yogurt
1 crushed garlic clove
handful of snipped chives
a little lemon juice
fresh ground pepper
125g pack of chopped smoked salmon
a few sprigs of chopped dill
chilli dipping sauce
half a grated cucumber
a handful of chopped mint

Steps:

  • For the dip base, mix 100g light soft cheese with 50g fat-free bio-yogurt.
  • For garlic & herb, stir in crushed garlic clove, snipped chives, a little lemon juice and fresh ground pepper.
  • For the fish dip, take the chopped smoked salmon and a few sprigs of chopped dill and stir in the base dip.
  • For spice-lovers, stir a little chilli dipping sauce, to taste, through the base mix.
  • Go Greek and stir through grated cucumber, and a handful of chopped mint.
