1/4 cup flour
2 cups milk
1 can drained tuna fish
1 cup frozen peas (or to taste)
salt and pepper
bread (for toasting)

Steps:

  • Thaw frozen peas in a collendar.
  • Melt the margarine in a saucepan.
  • Add the flour and blend.
  • Add the milk, stirring constantly to prevent clumping and stir until creamy.
  • Add the tuna, peas, salt and pepper and warm through.
  • As the tuna is warming, toast bread.
  • After toasted, cut in triangles and spoon tuna mixture over the toast.

1 (6 1/2 ounce) can tuna, drained
1/2 cup milk
1 (2 ounce) jar pimientos (optional)

Steps:

  • Mix soup and milk until well blended, heat until very hot (do not boil) add tuna and pimientos.
  • Heat until hot and serve over toast or biscuits.
  • Garnish with a couple of small sweet pickles (goes great with this).

8 slices buttered toast
1 (8 ounce) can tuna
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
4 tablespoons cornstarch
3/4 cup cold water

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 200 degrees.
  • Combine cornstarch with water in glass and stir.
  • Make toast and butter. Place in oven to keep warm.
  • Drain tuna and place in large skillet, with fork break apart.
  • Pour milk over tuna, and add salt and pepper.
  • Heat on medium high then add cornstarch mixture slowly, stirring constantly until thickened.
  • Serve over toast.

5 cups uncooked egg noodles
1 cup frozen peas
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) reduced-fat reduced-sodium condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1 cup fat-free sour cream
2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/3 cup 2% milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cans (5 ounces each) light tuna in water, drained and flaked
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup finely chopped green pepper
TOPPING:
1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
1 tablespoon butter, melted

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Cook noodles according to package directions for al dente, adding peas during the last minute of cooking; drain., Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine soup, sour cream, cheese, milk and salt; stir in tuna, onion and pepper. My mom gave me this recipe. It is different from most of the cream tuna on toast recipes I have seen because it has lots of cheese.

2 (6 ounce) cans tuna
2 tablespoons real butter
1/4 cup flour
2 1/2 cups milk
1 cup shredded cheese
1/4 teaspoon celery salt
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
8 slices bread
1/2 cup peas

Steps:

  • In a medium saucepan melt butter, stir in flour and spices until mixture is thick creamy paste. Slowly stir in milk being careful to constantly stir to prevent lumping. Add cheese. Add tuna after cheese has melted into mixture. Simmer over low heat for ten minutes.
  • Toast bread, then pour over layer of creamed tuna -- Enjoy.
