EGGNOG CREAM CHEESE DIP W/FRESH FRUIT WREATH
I know I'm late for the X-Mas season past & WAY early for the next, but I just found this recipe stuck inside a cookbook & want to make sure it doesn't disappear into oblivion again. It's on a 3-pg fold-out entitled "Holiday Recipes", shows the Braum's trademark name & a lovely pic of this recipe is featured on the cover pg - a truly stunning presentation! :-)

Steps:
- Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl & beat till smooth. (I love my immersion blender & it would be great for this)
- To Serve: Place dip in a serving bowl on a rd serving plate or platter & arrange fresh fruits around it to create a decorative, edible wreath.
- HINT: A note says to "Keep any cut fruit fresh by sprinkling w/lemon juice.", but I have found it more efficient to brush the cut surfaces of fresh fruit (such as apples or pears) using my pastry brush -- or -- put lemon juice in a sml plastic bag, add the fruit slices/wedges, shake to cover the cut surfaces w/juice & store in a container w/a snap-on lid till ready to serve.

CREAM CHEESE WREATH
There are many variations on this recipe. I found this one about 13 years ago in a magazine, source unknown, and the clipping has seen better days. I hope I can read it! Enjoy it for the holidays! Photo: kraftrecipes.com

Steps:
- 1. In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese and cheddar cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.
- 2. Add the next five ingredients and blend well. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
- 3. Place a drinking glass in the center of your serving platter. Drop round tablespoonfuls of cheese mixture around the base of the glass, just touching the outer edges to form a ring. Smooth with a spatula. Remove the glass.
- 4. Garnish with chopped red bell pepper and fresh chopped parsley if desired. Serve with crackers, breadsticks, or fresh veggies.
CREAM CHEESE WREATH COOKIES
A holiday favorite in my house - another one of my grandma's recipes. I use the star pattern of a cookie press to make the wreaths. I shape them into circles then decorate them with sprinkles and candied red cherries which stands in for the bow. What's great about this recipe is that you can modify it to your likes, change the color or press out different cut outs such as trees. NOTE: When measuring out your flour make sure your flour is sifted first, then measure out 3 1/2 cups.
