2 1/4 cups fresh or frozen cranberries (8 ounces)
1 cup sugar
1 cup water

Steps:

  • In a medium saucepan, bring cranberries, sugar, and water to a simmer over medium. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook until cranberries are tender but haven't burst, 10 minutes. Let cool, then strain through a fine-mesh sieve. Discard cranberries.

1 cup white sugar
1 cup water
2 ½ cups fresh cranberries

Steps:

  • Dissolve sugar in water in a saucepan over medium heat. Add cranberries and simmer on low until cranberries have softened but before they begin to pop, about 15 minutes. Cool, strain, and refrigerate.

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup cranberries, fresh, frozen
1 cup orange juice
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup ice cube
1/4 cup cranberries, frozen for floating in your cocktail

Steps:

  • Place all ingredients EXCEPT ice cubes in a medium sauce pan.
  • Bring to a boil, turn down the heat to med-high.
  • Cook for 2 minutes or until sugar is dissolved.
  • Remove from the heat and pour through a wire mesh strainer, pressing berries with the back of a spoon to release their juices.
  • Discard solids.
  • Stir in 1/2 C ice cubes to cool.
  • Freeze for 20 minutes to further cool.
  • Add 1 - 2 Tablespoons to your favorite sparkling wine. I love Prosecco.
  • Float a few frozen cranberries in the glass and watch them dance in the bubbles!

1 1/2 cups, plus 1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 cups cranberries
peel from half an orange
1 1/2 cups water
1 tablespoon lemon juice
pinch of kosher salt

Steps:

  • Place one tablespoon sugar, cranberries and orange peel in a saucepot. Cook down until tender, about five minutes. Add 1 ½ cups sugar, water, lemon juice and salt to the pot and bring to a boil. Remove from heat. If you want more intense flavors and color, you can let the mixture cool for 30 minutes. Strain the liquid twice to remove the fruit. Pour the cooled mixture into a bottle or pitcher.

1/2 to 3/4 c water
1 c granulated sugar(sugar may be omitted if desired)
1/2 c concentrated fruit juice or fresh fruit juice or fruit powder
12 oz bag fresh cranberries
1 clementine,peeled, sectioned and coarsely chopped
1/2 cinnamon stick

Steps:

  • 1. Combine the ingredients in a heavy saucepan. Bring ingredients to a boil, then turn down heat to let the mixture simmer until it is reduced to half. Strain through a wire mesh strainer; reserve the cranberries to use as a garnish if desired.
  • 2. Taste the syrup to check the sweetness. To intensify the flavor, you can add a few drops of flavored extract.Cool.
  • 3. Store the syrup in a squeeze bottle in the refrigerator for instant access. --- Cranberry Cocktail: 2 Tablespoons cranberry syrup -above 1/4 cup lime soda 1 oz. tequila 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice ice Combine all ingredients in a shaker except soda. Shake pour into martini glass then add the soda and tread 3 of the cranberries on a toothpick and place in glass as garnish.
