1 pkg. (12 oz.) Hawaiian savory butter rolls (12 rolls)
2 cans (6 oz. each) lump crabmeat, drained, flaked
1/2 cup chopped red peppers
1 stalk celery, chopped
1/4 cup KRAFT Mayo Homestyle Real Mayonnaise
1 Tbsp. GREY POUPON Dijon Mustard
1 Tbsp. seafood seasoning
1 Tbsp. lemon zest
4 romaine lettuce leaves, quartered

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 325°F.
  • Cut rolls horizontally in half; place, cut sides up, on baking sheet.
  • Bake 8 min. Meanwhile, combine all remaining ingredients except lettuce.
  • Fill rolls with lettuce and crabmeat mixture just before serving.

Number Of Ingredients 14

8 hand-cut slices best-quality brown or granary bread
unsalted butter , for spreading
1 lemon , cut into 4 wedges, to serve
brown crabmeat from 1 large brown crab, about 1.5 kg in its shell (reserve the white meat, see below)
1 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tsp tomato ketchup
juice 1/2 lemon
1 tsp Dijon mustard
big pinch cayenne pepper
few drops brandy (optional)
picked white meat from the same crab
small handful chopped mixed herbs such as parsley, dill, tarragon, chervil and chives
juice 1/2 lemon
2 tbsp olive oil

Steps:

  • Make the crab paste: mix the ingredients together in a bowl and season, then set aside. In a separate bowl, mix the white meat with the herbs, lemon juice, oil and seasoning.
  • Spread the bread lightly with butter, then spoon and spread the crab paste over 4 of the slices. Pile the white meat over, then top with the remaining bread. Cut the crusts off, if you like, and serve halved or in small triangles or squares with lemon wedges on the side.

1 pound imitation crabmeat, chopped
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
1/4 cup diced celery
2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 loaf (1 pound) unsliced French bread, split

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the crab, mayonnaise, onions and celery. Stir in the cheese, salt and pepper. Spread over bread bottom; replace top. , Wrap in a large piece of heavy-duty foil. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes or until heated through. Cut into slices.

4 croissants ((sliced lengthwise))
1 pound crab meat ( (or imitation crab meat flake style))
1/3 cup celery ((diced))
salt and pepper ( (to taste))
2/3 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon lemon juice ( (to taste))
2 teaspoon dill ((fresh dill if available))
1/2 teaspoon old bay seasoning

Steps:

  • Coarsely chop or break apart the imitation crab into small pieces.
  • Finely chop the celery.
  • Toss the celery, crab, salt, and pepper, in a medium-sized bowl.
  • Stir the mayonnaise, lemon juice, old bay seasoning and dill together in a bowl or cup.
  • Pour the mayonnaise mix over the crab and toss gently to coat.

2 Tablespoons mayonnaise
2 teaspoons yellow mustard
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
8 ounces imitation crab meat
salt and pepper, to taste
4 slices of bread (or two rolls), toasted
2 slices Mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • In a bowl mix together mayo, mustard, lemon juice, crab meat, salt and pepper.
  • Place crab meat on toasted bread.
  • Put some mozzarella on top of the crab meat and put together your sandwich.

1 16-ounce unsliced round loaf light rye bread
1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
1 6-ounce package frozen crab meat, thawed
1/4 cup finely chopped green onion
1 teaspoon capers, drained and chopped
lettuce leaves

Steps:

  • Cut a 2-inch horizontal slice from the top of the bread loaf; reserve to use later for the lid. To cut out a cylinder of bread: Make a vertical cut in the shape of a large circle in the center of the loaf, cut to but not through the bottom. Insert the knife at an angle 3/4-inch from the base of the loaf; cut through the bottom of the cylinder. Remove the cylinder of bread; thinly slice crosswise. In a small bowl combine cream cheese, crab meat, onion, and capers. Spread the crab mixture on half of the bread slices; top with remaining bread slices. Cut each sandwich into appetizer-size wedges. Hollow out remainder of bread loaf to leave a 1/2-inch thick shell. Line shell with lettuce leaves. Place sandwiches in loaf; replace top of bread loaf. Refrigerate till serving time.
