You'll want to wake up to this Bananas Foster Smoothie! Yummy banana and caramel flavors in a protein-packed smoothie - delicious!

1 frozen banana (quartered)
1 cup plain Greek yogurt (not sweetened)
1 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup Caramel Machiatto creamer
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp rum extract (optional)
1/2 tsp banana extract (optional)

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
  • Top with whipped cream and additional cinnamon if desired.
  • To make a shake, replace the Greek yogurt with vanilla ice cream. Drizzle caramel sauce on top - yum!

Number Of Ingredients 10

3 tablespoons butter
2 bananas, (may use ripe or not quite ripe) cut in 1/2 lengthwise
1/3 cup brown sugar, light or dark
3 tablespoons banana liqueur
2 tablespoons dark rum (recommended: Myers's Dark Rum)
2 to 3 tablespoons cold coffee or expresso
1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 quart vanilla ice cream

Steps:

  • In a medium saute pan over medium to high heat, add butter. Let melt then add bananas. Saute 1 minute on each side, and remove from pan.
  • In same pan, add sugar, banana liqueur, dark rum, and cold coffee. Let simmer for 2 minutes and tilt pan to side to ignite evaporating alcohol in pan. When flame is extinguished, add orange juice, cinnamon and nutmeg. Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes or until desired consistency is achieved
  • Add bananas back into pan and ladle sauce over bananas for 1 minute to coat. To serve, place 1 banana half in 4 long bowls with scoops of vanilla ice cream. Spoon sauce evenly on top and serve.

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
2 small ripe bananas
6 ounces cups vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup fat-free half-and-half
1 cup ice cube

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender container.
  • Process until very smooth and frothy.
  • Pour into two glasses and serve.
