COCOA HOT FUDGE SAUCE



Cocoa Hot Fudge Sauce image

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup heavy cream, half and half or whole milk
1/2 cup butter
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • In a 2 quart saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa and milk, stirring with a whisk until completely combined and smooth.
  • Turn heat on stove to medium and stirring occasionally, bring to a boil.
  • Stir in butter and continue to boil until sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and salt. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving over ice cream. Store in container in the refrigerator. To reheat, microwave for 30 seconds at a time until warm.

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
2 Tablespoons corn starch
2 Tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Add all ingredients to a small saucepan.
  • Heat over medium heat, whisking constantly until the mixture boils and thickens.
  • Serve over ice cream. Cool, cover and store in the refrigerator.

1 cup heavy cream
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
1/3 cup light corn syrup
Pinch of kosher salt
8 ounces bittersweet or semisweet chocolate (or a combination), chopped
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Combine the heavy cream, butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, whisking. Add the chocolate and cocoa powder, reduce the heat to low and cook, whisking, until the chocolate is melted and the sauce is smooth, 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Whisk in the vanilla. Let cool 10 minutes before serving. To store, let cool completely, then cover and refrigerate up to 2 weeks; reheat before serving.

⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3 cups white sugar
1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Combine butter, cocoa, sugar and evaporated milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and boil for 7 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Carefully pour hot mixture into a blender and blend for 2 to 4 minutes. Serve immediately. Store in refrigerator.

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup whipping cream
2/3 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
Pinch of salt

Steps:

  • Melt butter in heavy medium saucepan over medium heat. Add cocoa and whisk until smooth. Gradually add cream. Stir in sugars and salt. Simmer until mixture is smooth and sugars dissolve, about 3 minutes. (Can be prepared 1 week ahead. Refrigerate. Rewarm by stirring over medium-low heat.)
