Steps:
- Place milk and chocolate in a 12-ounce microwave-safe mug or a 2-cup glass measuring cup.
- Microwave on High until hot but not boiling, 60 to 90 seconds. Stir to melt chocolate.
- Stir cornstarch, sugar, and salt together in a small bowl; blend into the milk mixture.
- Microwave on High for 30 seconds, stir, and continue to heat until mixture thickens and just begins to boil, about 15 seconds more.

Steps:
- Mix 3 tablespoons of bittersweet chocolate chips with 1 teaspoon of cornstarch in a large microwave-safe ceramic mug.
- Stir in ⅛ teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and ½ a cup of full fat milk.
- Cook in the microwave for 1 minute. Remove and whisk the mixture with a fork. Return to the microwave and cook for another 30 seconds. Check the pudding again. Whisk and return to the microwave. Continue to cook at short intervals until your pudding reaches the desired consistency.
- Leave to cool for a few minutes and serve with a large spoon of whipped cream on top.
