Oatmeal Chocolate Peanut Butter No-Bake Candy Bars image

Another recipe from one of my nieces. **these are a healthy snack and to die for!!**

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup peanut butter
2/3 cup honey
1/2 cup coconut oil (no substitutes, this is what gives its creamy texture and flavor)
2 cups oats (not instant)
1 1/4 cups mini chocolate chips
3/4 cup dried cranberries

Steps:

  • 1. In a medium sized saucepan, melt together peanut butter, honey and coconut oil. Remove from heat and add oats, chocolate chips and dried cranberries. Stir until combined and chocolate chips are melted.
  • 2. Spread into a 9x13 pan. Refrigerate until hardened, about an hour. Store in refrigerator.
  • 3. I use parchment in bottom of my pan so I can flip out of pan onto cutting board, cut, bag and freeze. This prevents me from eating it all at once!!

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup softened unsalted butter
2 cups packed light brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 cups old fashioned oats
1 cup walnuts
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Center rack in the oven and preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9X13 inch pan and place the pan on a baking sheet.
  • Whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
  • Using an electric mixer, beat the butter on medium speed until it is soft and creamy. Add the brown sugar and beat for 2 minutes, then add the eggs one at a time, beating for a minute after each egg goes inches Beat in the vanilla. The mixture should be light and fluffy. Reduce the mixer speed to low and add the dry ingredients, mixing just until they disappear. Still on low speed, stir in the oats and 1 cup of the chopped walnuts.
  • Set aside 1 1/2 to 2 cups of the mixture, then turn the remaining dough into the prepared 9X13 pan. Set aside while you prepare the next layer.
  • Set a heat proof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water. Put the condensed milk, chocolate chips, butter and salt in the bowl and stir occasionally until the milk is warm and stir in the vanilla and 3/4 cup walnuts.
  • Pour the warm chocolate over the oatmeal crust, then scatter the remaining oatmeal mixture over the top. Don't try to spread the oatmeal, and don't worry about getting the topping even. It will create a a pretty open lacy pattern as it bakes.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the chocolate layer is dull and starting to come away from the sides of the pan. Transfer the baking pan to a cooling rack for about 2 hours.
  • Run a blunt knife between the edges of the cookie and the pan and carefully turn the cookie out onto a rack. Turn right side up, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour before cutting. ( Ok so there was no way my fam could wait that long. I was able to cool it for 2 hours but that was it. It was fabulous a bit warm and also later when it was refrigerated!).

1 bag(s) hersheys miniature candy bars...i also added a chpd snickers bar ;)
1 c butter, 2 sticks
2 c flour
1 1/2 c quick oats
2/3 c brown sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla

Steps:

  • 1. SPRAY AN 11x13 BAKING PAN. UNWRAP N CHOP ALL CANDIES.
  • 2. MELT BUTTER IN A LARGE SAUCEPAN ...THEN TURN OFF HEAT.
  • 3. STIR INTO PAN. FLOUR, QUICK OATS, BROWN SUGAR, BAKN SODA, VANILLA....COMBINE TILL CRUMBLY.
  • 4. PRESS 2/3 OF MIXTURE INTO SPRAYD PAN.
  • 5. PREHEAT OVEN TO 350. SPREAD OUT CANDY PIECES OVER PRESSD OAT MIXTURE .
  • 6. RUB REMAINN OAT MIXTURE THRU FINGERS N OVER CHOCOLATE PIECES.
  • 7. BAKE FOR 25-30 MINUTES OR UNTIL GOLDEN N LET COOL IN PAN FOR ATLEAST 1/2 HOUR....YES U GOTTA WAIT :(

2 cups white sugar
3 tablespoons cocoa
1 sticks margarine
0.5 cups milk
0.5 cups peanut butter
1 teaspoons vanilla
1 pinches salt
3 cups oatmeal

Steps:

  • Mix together first four ingredients. Boil 2 or 3 minutes. Remove from heat
  • Add peanut butter, vanilla, salt, and oatmeal. Mix well.
  • Drop by spoon onto wax paper or a cookie sheet.
