1-1/2 pounds ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1 can (46 ounces) tomato juice
1 cup water
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
4 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 package (16 ounces) spaghetti, broken into 2-inch pieces
2 cans (16 ounces each) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
Sour cream and shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • In a 6-qt. stockpot, cook beef and onion over medium-high heat until beef is no longer pink and onion is tender, 8-10 minutes, breaking beef into crumbles; drain., Stir in tomato juice, water, Worcestershire sauce and seasonings; bring to a boil. Add spaghetti. Reduce heat; simmer, covered, until pasta is tender, 9-11 minutes. Stir in beans; heat through. Top servings with sour cream and cheese. Freeze option: Freeze cooled pasta mixture in freezer containers. To use, partially thaw in refrigerator overnight. Heat through in a saucepan, stirring occasionally; add water if necessary.

1 (7 ounce) package spaghetti
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed, and drained
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 (4 ounce) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
1/3 cup water
1 (8 ounce) envelope chili seasoning mix
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
1/4 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • Cook spaghetti according to package directions.
  • In a large skillet, cook beef, and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink.
  • Drain spaghetti, and add to meat mixture.
  • Stir in the beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, water, chili seasoning, and parmesan cheese.
  • Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with mozzerella cheese.

1 pound ground beef browned and drained
1 (8-ounce) package spaghetti cooked and drained
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup sour cream
2 (8-ounce) cans tomato sauce
1 (4-ounce) can sliced mushrooms
2 (16-ounce) cans chili any type
1 clove garlic minced
2 cups grated Cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except cheese. Transfer mixture into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Top with cheese. Bake 20 minutes. Makes 6-8 servings.

Instant Pot Chilighetti--a delicious mash up of spaghetti and chili. Make this easy one pot meal in minutes with your Instant Pot.

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 pound lean ground beef or ground turkey
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
1 cup diced onion
1 ¾ cup beef broth
8 oz spaghetti (broken into thirds)
1 (24 oz) jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp chili powder
1 Tbsp cumin
1 (14 oz) can red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
Toppings: sour cream, grated cheese, diced red onions

Steps:

  • Turn Instant Pot to saute setting. When display says HOT add in the beef and break it up. Add in the salt and pepper. Add in the onions. Brown for 5 minutes. Drain excess grease.
  • Pour in the beef broth and scrape bottom of the pot so that nothing is sticking.
  • Place the broken spaghetti in a criss cross pattern on top of the meat and broth. Gently press down.
  • Evenly dump the spaghetti sauce over the top of the noodles.
  • Dump the Worcestershire, chili powder, cumin and beans on top.
  • Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set the manual/pressure cook button to 3 minutes. When time is up let pot sit for 10 minutes and then move valve to venting. Remove the lid.
  • Stir well. Scoop onto plates and top with a dollop of sour cream, cheese and onions, if desired.
