500 g hot Italian pork sausage
2 cups shredded monterey jack cheese
2 cans chopped green chilies
4 tablespoons finely chopped green onions
75 wonton wrappers
water

Steps:

  • Uncase and separate sausage.
  • Brown sausage in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Drain off excess drippings.
  • Combine cheese, chillies, green onions and sausage in a medium bowl.
  • Spoon 1 round teaspoon of sausage mixture near 1 corner of wonton wrapper.
  • Brush opposite corner with water.
  • Roll up "jelly roll" style.
  • Moisten ends of roll with water.
  • Bring ends together to make a "bundle" overlapping slightly and pressing firmly.
  • Repeat with remaining filling and wrappers.
  • Heat deep fryer to about 365.
  • Fry bundles a few at a time for about 2 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Drain on paper towel and serve.

My church is having a Nostalgic Vintage Brunch and we are trying various recipes. This is one that we decided we would prepare as it was enjoyed by everyone and so tasty!

1 pound(s) breakfast sausage (your preference)
8 ounce(s) cream cheese, softened
2 can(s) crescent rolls

Steps:

  • Brown the sausage and drain grease; add the softened cream cheese and mix well. Unfold all of the crescent rolls and make into triangles; place the sausage and cream cheese mixture over all and roll the rolls up and place seam side down.
  • Bake according to directions on crescent roll package. ENJOY!!
