CANTALOUPE LIME COOLER

When the weather changes from cold to hot and humid, my daughter cannot get enough of this perfect summer sipper.This refreshingly cool drink is a wonderful way to beat the heat!

Number Of Ingredients 4

1/2 c hot water
4 Tbsp light agave nectar
4 c peeled, seeded, and diced cantaloupe
3 tsp freshly squeezed lime juice

Steps:

  • 1. In a small bowl, combine hot water with agave nectar. Stir until agave nectar is dissolved in the water. Cool the mixture.
  • 2. In a blender, place cantaloupe, lime juice, and the water and agave nectar mixture. Liquify.
  • 3. Pour cantaloupe puree through a fine sieve into a large bowl. Reserve liquid; discard solids. Cool.
  • 4. Garnish the drink with fresh cantaloupe, if desired, and serve.
  • 5. Note: Be sure to taste the cantaloupe first. If it's very sweet, reduce the amount of water and agave nectar mixture. Add water to a drink, if desired.

1 cantaloupe, halved and seeded
½ cup white sugar, or more to taste
2 cups milk
6 cups cold water, or more as needed

Steps:

  • Shred the cantaloupe into a large pitcher using a fork, making sure to catch all the juice and pulp. Stir in the sugar, mashing any large pieces of cantaloupe. Stir in the milk and water, adding enough to fill the pitcher. Serve cold.
