BEER AND BROWN SUGAR KIELBASA & SAUERKRAUT RECIPE

Steps:
- 1. Combine the beer and brown sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat, until the sugar melts and the mixture is slightly thickened; set aside. 2. Cut the kielbasa into links and place in a slow cooker. Cover with the drained sauerkraut. Pour the beer and brown sugar mixture over top. Cook on high for 4 to 6 hours, or on low for 8 to 10 hours. (We ended up doing a combination - high for 3 hours and then low for another 3 or so. Definitely the longer it cooks the better it tastes!) 3. Serve on its own or on your favorite sandwich roll.
BROWN SUGAR KIELBASA
Steps:
- Slice kielbasa into bite sized slices, and put into 13x9 baking dish.
- Sprinkle with brown sugar, top with butter.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 45-50 min. or until heated and crisping at edges. Stir occasionally.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cut Kielbasa into 1 inch pieces.
- Cut bacon strips in half.
- Wrap each piece of kielbasa with 1 piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
- Place bacon-wrapped sausage pieces standing up on end in a foil-lined pan .
- Generously sprinkle the brown sugar all over the sausage pieces.
- Bake until bacon is done to desired crispness, usually about 25-30 minutes.

BROWN SUGAR KIELBASA
You can use light brown sugar instead of the dark brown sugar. This is a slow cooker recipe.

- 1. You want a ratio of 1 # Brown sugar for 2-3 packages kielbasa.
- 2. Slice kielbasa into 1/4 " pieces and place them in a slow cooker.
- 3. Pour entire box or brown sugar over the kielbasa. Stir to combine.
- 4. Cook on low for 5 hours or on High for 2-1/2 hours in a slow cooker.
