Scoops of homemade chili in hollowed out small dinner rolls, then baked and served with your favorite toppings! You can eat your chili and the bowl, too!

6 cups prepared chili (, warmed up if using leftovers)
6 small (sturdy) dinner rolls
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
sliced pickled jalapenos, diced red onion, corn chips, and sour cream, for serving

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Cut a hole in the top of the dinner rolls; hollow out to form bowls (leaving the outer edge and bottom intact.) Transfer to a baking sheet.
  • Scoop chili into the bread bowls. Sprinkle with cheese.
  • Place in the oven until warmed through and the cheese has melted, 10-15 minutes
  • Serve right away with your choice of toppings.

1 can (10.2 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Flaky Layers Original Biscuits (5 Count)
2 cans (15 oz each) chili with beans
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (2 oz)

Steps:

  • Place 5 (10-oz) custard cups upside down on ungreased cookie sheet; spray outsides of cups with cooking spray.
  • Press each biscuit into 5 1/2-inch round. Place 1 round over each custard cup, shaping dough to fit around cup and form bowl shape. Dough should not touch cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350°F 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Place bread bowls with custard cups on cooling rack; cool 5 minutes. Remove bowls from custard cups.
  • Meanwhile, in 2-quart saucepan, heat chili over medium heat until hot. Spoon chili into bread bowls; sprinkle with cheese.

1 onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 lb ground beef
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
15 oz tomato sauce, 1 can
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon chili powder
15 oz kidney bean, 1 can, drained and rinsed
¼ cup butter, melted
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
12 dinner rolls
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
sour cream, to serve
green onion, sliced, to serve

Steps:

  • Heat oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until translucent.
  • Add the garlic and cook for two minutes.
  • Add the ground beef and season with salt and pepper. Break up the beef with a wooden spoon, cooking until browned.
  • Add in the tomato sauce, cumin, oregano, and chili powder. Stir until combined.
  • Reduce the heat to low, cover and simmer for 1 hour.
  • Remove lid and stir in kidney beans.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a bowl, add the butter, garlic, parsley, and Parmesan. Stir until combined.
  • Place the dinner rolls in a baking dish. Use a knife to carve a circle in the top of each roll. Press down the bottom of the bun to create a denser bottom layer.
  • Brush the rolls with the garlic butter and bake for 5 minutes, or until lightly toasted.
  • Spoon the chilli into the holes of the toasted rolls.
  • Sprinkle with cheddar cheese and bake for another 5 minutes, or until cheese has melted.
  • Serve topped with sour cream and green onions.
  • Enjoy!

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/2 pound each beef stew meat, boneless skinless chicken breast and boneless pork, cut into cubes
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 medium green pepper, chopped
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes, drained
1 can (16 ounces) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (15-1/2 ounces) navy beans or great northern beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 garlic clove, minced
1-1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
9 large hard rolls
Sour cream, chopped green onions and sweet red pepper, optional

Steps:

  • In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the flour, salt and pepper. Add meat in batches; toss to coat. In a large skillet, brown meat in oil in batches. Transfer to a 5-qt. slow cooker with a slotted spoon. Stir in onion, peppers, tomatoes, beans, tomato sauce and seasonings. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or until the meat is tender., Cut tops off rolls; carefully hollow out bottom halves. Spoon about 1 cup of chili into each roll. Garnish with sour cream, onions and red pepper if desired.

1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 pound ground pork
2 cans (16 ounces each) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
2 cans (14-1/2 ounces each) diced tomatoes with garlic and onion, undrained
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) beef broth
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
12 hard rolls (about 4-1/2 inches), optional
Shredded cheddar cheese, sliced green onions and sour cream, optional

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, cook beef and pork over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Stir in the beans, tomatoes, broth, tomato sauce, chili powder and jalapeno. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 20 minutes., Serve in soup bowls or if desired, cut the top fourth off of each roll; carefully hollow out bottom, leaving a 1/2-in. shell. Cube removed bread. Spoon chili into bread bowls. Serve with cubed bread,, shredded cheddar cheese, sliced green onions and sour cream if desired.
