6 cups boysenberries
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 egg
1 teaspoon baking powder
¾ teaspoon salt
⅓ cup butter, melted
½ cup white sugar, or more to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Spread boysenberries in a 7x11-inch baking pan.
  • Mix flour, egg, baking powder, and salt together with a fork to make a crumble. Scatter over berries. Pour melted butter over crumble. Sprinkle sugar on top.
  • Bake crisp until top is browned, 40 to 50 minutes.

1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg
4 to 5 cups fresh or frozen boysenberries
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 cup unsalted melted butter (1 stick)

Steps:

  • CRUST TOPPING: Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and egg until crumbly and set aside. Put boysenberries into a large bowl toss with berries with flour until coated. Put berries into baking dish and sprinkle topping over them. Drizzle with melted butter. Bake at 375°F for about 30 minutes. Serve warm.
