ice, shaved or crushed
1 ounce vodka
1 ounce rum
3/4 ounce triple sec or 3/4 ounce any orange-flavored liqueur
lime wedge
pineapple juice
orange juice

Steps:

  • Fill a 12 oz glass with shaved ice.
  • Add the vodka, rum and Triple Sec.
  • Squeeze in the lime wedge and drop into glass.
  • Fill with equal parts pineapple and orange juice.

  • Combine 2 ounces each orange juice and sour mix and 1 ounce each bourbon, peach schnapps and vodka in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously, then strain into a tall glass filled with ice. Garnish with an orange slice and a maraschino cherry.

2 (15.5 ounce) cans black-eyed peas
1 large tomato, chopped
1 medium red bell pepper, chopped
1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
½ red onion, diced
1 stalk celery, chopped
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, toss together black-eyed peas, tomato, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, red onion, celery, and parsley.
  • In a small bowl, mix balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper. Toss into the vegetables. Cover, and chill in the refrigerator 8 hours, or overnight.
