1 lb lean ground beef
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1 teaspoon seasoning salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • Combine ground beef, onion, seasoned salt, garlic, pepper, and worcestershire sauce.
  • Mix gently.
  • Shape into four patties.
  • Broil or grill until burgers are well done, turning once.

Better Than Beef Turkey Burgers image

I had been looking for a recipe for a delicious, juicy turkey burger for a long time. By combining what I liked best from my 3 favorites I finally have a winning recipe. Cooked on the grill, even the most devoted beef burger fan will have to admit that these are fantastic.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1/3 cup(s) uncooked oatmeal
1 1/4 pound(s) ground turkey
1 large egg
1 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
1 teaspoon(s) onion powder
1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
1/4 teaspoon(s) black pepper
1/8 cup(s) ketchup
1 clove(s) finely chopped garlic
1 teaspoon(s) paprika

Steps:

  • Place all ingredients in a large ziplock bag. Mix until just incorporated.
  • Form into 4 large patties or 6 small patties and place on squares of waxed paper. (Mixture will be very soft.)
  • Place in refrigerator for 30 minutes. Please don't skip this step. This allows the oatmeal to hydrate and firms up the patties.
  • Heat grill to medium. When hot, place patties on non-stick aluminum foil. Cook until deep grill marks form and then flip. Do not try to flip them sooner or they could break apart. Continue to cook on second side until you see nice, dark grill marks. Do not over cook. You want them to be moist. Only flip once.
  • Remove from grill, cover with foil and let them rest for a few minutes while you toast the buns on the grill. Serve with lettuce, tomato, red onion, ketchup, mustard, mayo or Thousand Island dressing.

1 lb ground beef or buffalo:
2 t Worchester Sauce
1 T finely chopped onion or garlic powder
1-2 t paprika.

Steps:

  • For pre formed patties: sprinkle the surface with Worchester Sauce and garlic powder. Let set 30-45 minutes. Brush with your favorite BBQ Sauce and grill. For 1 lb ground beef or buffalo: Put 2 t Worchester Sauce in a bowl Add 1 T finely chopped onion Add 1-2 t paprika. Add ground beef and mix well Shape patties, for the grill, brush with BBQ Sauce, and grill. For skillet frying, omit the BBQ Sauce.
