I love fry rice. This is just 1 of many ways I love to make it. My family loves fry rice too. I must have at least once a week.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 lb beef sirloin steak, boneless & thinly sliced
2 c frozen stir-fry vegetables
1 c chicken broth, low salt
3 Tbsp catalina dressing, light
2 Tbsp soy sauce, light
2 c instant brown rice, uncooked
1 can(s) mandarin oranges, drained
1/3 c green onions, chopped

Steps:

  • 1. First cook the meat in a large nonstick frying pan on hight heat for about 3 mins or until evenly browned.
  • 2. Next add in the next ingredients, bring to a boil & stir often. Simmer for about 5 mins. The remove from the heat.
  • 3. Then let stand for about 5 mins. Then add in the oranges & onions. Then fliff with a fork.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 pound lean ground beef
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
2 tablespoons water
1 medium-sized red bell pepper, cut into 1/2-inch chunks
1 package (6 ounces) frozen pea pods, thawed
3 cups cold cooked rice
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons sesame oil
2 scallions, thinly sliced

Steps:

  • In a large nonstick skillet, combine the ground beef, garlic, and ginger and brown over medium heat; crumble the beef and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, or until no pink remains in the beef. Drain off the excess liquid and remove the beef to a large bowl. Place the water in the skillet and heat over medium-high heat until hot; add the bell pepper and pea pods and cook for 3 minutes, or until the pepper is crisp-tender, stirring occasionally. Add the rice, soy sauce, and sesame oil; mix well. Return the beef to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes, or until heated through. Stir in the scallions just before serving.
