BAKED PICKLE CHIPS

A healthier version of "fried" pickles that tastes just as delicious!

Provided by Six Sisters Stuff

Yield 32

Number Of Ingredients 7

3/4 cup bread crumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 eggs (beaten)
1 (24 ounce)jar dill pickle chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, and spray with cooking spray.
  • In a small bowl, mix together bread crumbs, cheese, garlic powder, and seasoned salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together Worcestershire sauce and eggs.
  • Take each pickle (lightly shake off excess juice) and dredge it in the egg mixture, then in the crumb mixture. Place them all on the baking sheet. Cook for 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and turn each slice over. Return to the oven and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes until they start to brown. Serve hot.
  • Makes about 32 pickle chips.

1/2 c Panko
2 tbsp flour
2 lightly beaten egg whites
32 low sodium kosher dill pickle chips

Steps:

  • 1. PreHeat oven to 450 2. Heat skillet over med high heat. Add Panko in shallow dish. Place flour in shallow dish. Place egg whites in another dish. Pat pickles dry. Dredge in flour, dip in egg then Panko. 3. Arrange pickles in single layer and bake 8 mins each side.
