This baked Italian Hoagie recipe is the perfect crowd-pleasing main dish. They're crazy-easy to put together and bake up just right!

6 hero rolls (sliced length-wise but leaving both sidesof the roll attached to each other.)
18 slices capicola hot ham
18 slices salami
1 cup banana peppers (sliced)
6 slices provolone cheese
Italian dressing (for serving)

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place the rolls into a 9" x 13" baking pan, open-side up.
  • Bake the rolls for 5 minutes and remove from oven.
  • Place 3 folded slices of capicola hot ham onto the bottom of each roll.
  • Add a layer of 3 folded pieces of salami onto the sandwiches.
  • Divide the sliced banana peppers between the 6 sandwiches.
  • Fold each slice of provolone cheese in half to break into two pieces and place on top of the banana peppers.
  • Return the pan to the oven and bake for 20 minutes. Serve immediately with Italian dressing.

2 can(s) garlic butter croissants
1/3 lb capiicola ham, sliced thin
1/3 lb pepperoni, sliced thin
1/3 lb hard salami, sliced thin
1/4 lb honey ham, sliced thin
1/3 lb provolone cheese, sliced thin
1/3 lb mozzarella cheese, sliced thin
2 tsp minced garlic, heaping
1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1 can(s) petite diced tomatoes,15 oz
1 can(s) tomato paste, 6 oz
2/3 can(s) water

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350.
  • 2. Lightly spray a 9x13 pan with cooking spray. Roll one of the cans of croissants in the bottom.
  • 3. Layer honey ham, 1/2 provolone, pepperoni, 1/2 mozzarella, capicola ham, provolone, hard salami, mozzarella, then other can of croissant.
  • 4. Cover with foil. Bake 20 minutes, remove foil & bake for additional 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • 5. For Mariana Sauce: In a small saucepan, add garlic, & dry seasonings, over medium heat. Add tomatoes, paste & water. Stir well to combine. Reduce heat to medium low. Simmer until sandwich is done. (I started this step as soon as I put sandwich in the oven.)

1 package (12 ounces) Hawaiian sweet rolls
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons prepared pesto
6 slices part-skim mozzarella or provolone cheese
6 thin slices deli ham
9 thin slices hard salami
6 thin slices deli pastrami
1-1/4 cups giardiniera
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1 cup fresh basil leaves
1/2 cup sliced red onion
1/4 cup prepared zesty Italian salad dressing
Pepperoncini

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350º. Cut rolls horizontally in half; place roll bottoms in a greased 11x7-in. baking dish. Mix mayonnaise and pesto until combined. Spread over cut sides of rolls. Layer bottoms with mozzarella cheese, ham, salami, pastrami, giardiniera, shredded Parmesan cheese, basil leaves and red onion. Place bun tops over filling and gently press to flatten. , Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven; brush with salad dressing. Bake until golden brown and cheese is melted, about 5 minutes longer. Cool slightly before cutting. Serve with pepperoncini and additional giardiniera if desired.

1/2 lb sliced deli roast beef
1/2 lb sliced deli turkey
1/2 lb sliced deli ham

1 large tomatoes, thinly sliced
1/2 medium onion, thinly sliced

Steps:

1 loaf (12 ounces) focaccia bread
1/4 cup prepared pesto
1/4 pound sliced deli ham
1/4 pound sliced deli smoked turkey
1/4 pound sliced deli pastrami
5 slices process American cheese
1/3 cup thinly sliced onion
1 small tomato, sliced
1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Steps:

  • Cut focaccia horizontally in half; spread pesto over cut sides. On bread bottom, layer the ham, turkey, pastrami, cheese, onion and tomato. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
