MAPLE CARAMEL BACON CRACK RECIPE - (4.7/5)

Maple Caramel Bacon Crack Recipe - (4.7/5) image

Provided by Okcoja

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 lb. bacon
1 pkg Pillsbury crescent rolls
1/2 cup maple syrup
3/4 cup brown sugar

Steps:

  • 1.Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Line a rimmed baking sheet (like a 15x10) with foil and liberally grease the foil with cooking spray. Unroll the crescent rolls into one single plane of dough and pinch any perforations together to seal. Stretch the dough out to fit the size of the pan with your hands so it's even. Prick the dough with a fork all over. Set aside. 2.Meanwhile, cook your bacon. I like cooking mine in a skillet, but you can bake it - whichever you prefer. Cook it until it's technically safe enough to eat and just about done, but still lighter in color and not quite crispy. You don't want it fully cooked and crispy as it will continue to cook in the oven. I pulled mine out of the pan right when they were a medium-pink color. Drain the bacon on a paper towel-lined plate. 3.Drizzle ¼th cup of the maple syrup over the crescent roll dough. Sprinkle with about ¼th cup of the brown sugar. Top with torn pieces of the cooked bacon. Drizzle the remaining maple syrup on top of the bacon pieces, and top with the remaining brown sugar. 4.Bake for approx. 25 minutes or until bubbling and caramelized. Remove from the oven and allow the pan to come to room temperature or warm to the touch before cutting or breaking into pieces. You can serve this at room temperature or slightly warmed. It tastes best the day of, but can be eaten the next day if stored airtight.

3/4 cup(s) light brown sugar

  • Then coat evenly with brown sugar to cover completely.
  • Chop cooled bacon and sprinkle evenly over the entire top and drizzle with remaining syrup.
  • Bake for 10 min. Turn and bake for 10-15 more min till golden brown and delicious looking (warning, at this point, do not try to lick the top surface as it will result in blisters and taste buds being destroyed).
  • Important*** Remove from oven and allow to cool completely!!!!!!! Slice into desired shapes and serve. I prefer diamonds, why? Just because. ENJOY and share at your own discretion.

Air Fryer KETO Maple Bacon Crack - Fork To Spoon image

Air Fryer KETO Maple Bacon Crack is so good! This simple recipe is so delicious that you will forget that it's KETO and low-carb friendly!

Provided by @MakeItYours

Number Of Ingredients 9

8 oz mozzarella cheese
2 oz cream cheese
3 tbsp Stevia (or sweetener of choice)
1 cup almond flour
1 egg
⅔ - 1 cup of Swerve brand sugar-free brown sugar
5 slices of cooked bacon
1 tbsp sugar-free maple syrup
Parchment paper

Steps:

  • Cook your bacon first. See notes below for an optional add-in.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees F, air fryer setting.
  • While the air fryer is preheating, microwave the mozzarella and cream cheese together in a medium bowl. Microwave first for one minute, stir, and then microwave for another 30 seconds. Cheeses should be well combined.
  • Add Stevia and almond flour to the cheese mixture.
  • Also, add the egg, but be sure that the cheese mixture is not very hot but still workable, so you do not cook the egg.
  • Stir the ingredients all together and knead if necessary to incorporate the ingredients.
  • Measure your parchment paper to fit your air fryer basket, being sure to have raised edges for removing the food from the air fryer with ease.
  • Dump the dough onto the pre-measured/cut parchment paper and press flat.
  • Mix your sugar-free maple syrup in with sugar-free brown sugar. Sprinkle some of the mixtures over the dough.
  • Chop your bacon in little pieces and sprinkle it over the sugar-free brown sugar mixture.
  • Sprinkle more of the sugar-free brown sugar over the bacon.
  • Air fry for 15-20 minutes or until the dough is done.
  • Sprinkle with more Stevia if desired.
