Caramel Apple Pie Dump

This is a simple creation I concocted from other recipes & it is heavenly a few minutes out of the oven with a big scoop of natural vanilla ice cream.

1 (18 ounce) box butter recipe cake mix
1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling (Comstock makes it with with caramel)
1 (15 ounce) can fried apples (I use Luck's)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon allspice
1 tablespoon sugar
3/4 cup butter
1 cup chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Pour apple pie filling and fried apples in a 13x9 pan evenly.
  • Sprinkle apples with spices and sugar.
  • Pour dry cake mix over spices.
  • Dot with butter.
  • Sprinkle with nuts.
  • Bake 45 minutes-1 hour, until cake is brown and bubbling on sides.
  • Serve warm with ice cream.

1 (21-ounce) can apple pie filling
1 (16.5-ounce) package white cake mix
3 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup walnuts, chopped
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Coat a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray. In a large bowl, place apple pie filling; break into pieces using a spoon. Add cake mix, eggs, and oil; beat 1 to 2 minutes, or until well blended. Spread batter in baking dish. In a small bowl, combine walnuts, sugar, and cinnamon; sprinkle mixture evenly over batter. Bake 40 to 45 minutes, or until golden brown on top. Cool in baking dish at least 15 minutes before serving.
