- 1. I use a cast iron skillet for this. But any heave duty skillet will work.. Heat oil in a heavy skillet over high heat. Brown ham steak with mushrooms on each side for 2-3 minutes.Remove ham steaks and mushrooms and keep warm on a plater.
- 2. Combine cider,brown sugar,apples,sages,cinnamon,and apple wine into skillet Bring to a rapid boil,then cook till reduced by abought 1/3. Whisk in mustard reduce heat to simmer.
