Apple cookies with Splenda is a healthier snack that is perfect for people of all ages. Here are some valuable tips to help you make the perfect apple cookies with Splenda recipes.

Choose the Right Apples

The key to making delicious apple cookies is to choose the right apples. You want to choose apples that are firm and crisp, preferably Granny Smith apples. Granny Smith apples are great for baking because they hold their shape and don't become mushy when cooked. If Granny Smith apples are not available in your area, you can also use Honeycrisp, Braeburn, or Pink Lady apples.

Use Rolled Oats

For a crunchy texture, the best oats to use are rolled oats. Rolled oats are also known as old-fashioned oats, and they retain their shape and texture even after baking. They also have more fiber than quick oats, making them more filling and a healthier option.

Add Cinnamon

Cinnamon is a spice that adds warmth and depth to any recipe. It also pairs perfectly with apples, making it a great addition to your apple cookie recipe. You can add ground cinnamon or cinnamon sugar to your apple cookie dough, depending on your preference. The amount of cinnamon you add to your recipe depends on how intense you want the flavor to be.

Substitute Butter for Unsweetened Applesauce

Butter is a common ingredient used in baking, but it is high in calories and fat. A healthier alternative is unsweetened applesauce. Unsweetened applesauce has fewer calories and is fat-free, making it a much healthier option. You can substitute half or all of the butter in your apple cookie recipe with unsweetened applesauce without compromising the taste or texture.

Use Splenda Instead of Sugar

Splenda is an excellent alternative to sugar for those who are on a low-calorie diet. It is a calorie-free artificial sweetener that is made from sucralose. Splenda has a sweeter taste than sugar, so you will only need to use a small amount in your recipe. You can substitute sugar with Splenda on a one-to-one ratio, so you won't have to change the amount of sweetener in your recipe.

Add Nuts for a Crunchy Texture

For an extra crunch, you can add chopped nuts to your apple cookie recipe. Walnuts, pecans, or almonds are all great options. Nuts also provide healthy fats, protein, and fiber, making them a healthy snack option. You can also use nut butter as a substitute for butter, which will add flavor and texture to your recipe.

Make Sure Your Dough is Firm

The dough for apple cookies should be firm enough to hold its shape but not too firm that it is difficult to shape. If your dough is too soft, you can add more oats, flour, or even coconut flour to make it firmer. If your dough is too hard, you can add more applesauce, butter, or even milk. Make sure to test your dough's firmness by shaping it into a ball or pressing it into a cookie shape.

Let Your Cookies Cool Down

After baking your apple cookies, make sure to let them cool down completely before removing them from the baking sheet. This will prevent them from falling apart or sticking to the baking sheet. Apple cookies also taste better when they are at room temperature, so make sure they cool down before serving.

Store Your Cookies Properly

Apple cookies with Splenda recipes can last for up to a week if stored in an airtight container. Make sure to store them in a cool, dry place to prevent them from becoming moldy or soggy. You can also store them in the refrigerator for a longer shelf life, but they may become moist. If you want to freeze your apple cookies, make sure to wrap them tightly in plastic wrap or foil to prevent freezer burn.

Conclusion
