CHURCH PEANUT BUTTER SPREAD

CHURCH PEANUT BUTTER SPREAD image

We lived near an Amish community. They always serve Church Peanut Butter Spread with their homemade breads and rolls at their pig roasts and fundraiser dinners. I had to have a recipe of it and found one in an old amish cookbook. This is wonderful on bread, rolls and heated to a more saucy consistancy in the microwave (10 seconds), is unbelievable as a topping for ice cream. A little goes a long way.

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 1/2 cup(s) packed brown sugar
1 stick(s) butter
2 cup(s) marshmallow fluff
1 jar(s) 18oz. creamy peanut butter
- *the fluff is found in the ice cream topping aisle of your grocery store

Steps:

  • In a saucepan, stir together brown sugar and butter. Heat until mixture begins to form bubbles. In large bowl, spoon in fluff and peanut butter. Pour hot sugar mixture over peanut butter and fluff. With mixer on low blend everything together. The peanut butter and fluff will melt in the sugar mixture to a creamy consistancy.
  • Store like you would peanut butter. Keep it in a microwavable container so you can heat it in microwave for 30-40 seconds to make it into an ice cream topping consistancy. Otherwise it will be a nice spreadable consistancy for bread. I made this up and stored in 12 oz. canning jars. Sold the jars for $5 a piece at a fundraiser with my phone number if they wanted to order more. This makes a great gift with the recipe attached to jar.

Amish church spread recipes are a favorite among many people looking for a delicious, versatile spread that can be used on anything from crackers to sandwiches. The recipes use basic, natural ingredients that are easy to find, making them perfect for anyone who wants to make homemade, healthy spreads. In this article, we will discuss some valuable tips for making Amish church spread recipes. 1. Use quality ingredients The first and most important tip for making Amish church spread recipes is using high-quality ingredients. Since these recipes use only a few simple ingredients, each one plays an essential role in the final flavor of the spread. Using fresh, high-quality ingredients is key to getting the best results. When selecting ingredients, choose ones that are as natural as possible. For instance, instead of using processed cheese, use natural, sharp cheddar cheese. Use real mayonnaise instead of a low-fat or reduced-calorie alternative. And if possible, choose organic produce. 2. Use the right tools The tools you use can make a significant impact on the texture and consistency of your Amish church spread. Therefore, it is important to use the right tools when making your spread. A food processor is ideal for blending the ingredients and creating a smooth, consistent texture. It is also a good idea to use a rubber spatula to scrape the sides of the food processor and ensure that all ingredients are mixed evenly. 3. Start with room temperature ingredients Starting with room temperature ingredients is another important tip for making Amish church spread recipes. Room temperature ingredients are easier to blend, which helps to create a smooth, consistent texture. If your ingredients are too cold or too warm, the spread could turn out lumpy or too thick. To bring your ingredients to room temperature, simply take them out of the refrigerator about 20-30 minutes before making the spread. This will give them enough time to warm up to room temperature and make blending easier. 4. Add seasonings gradually Amish church spread recipes may include various seasonings, such as onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. It is important to add these seasonings gradually to ensure that you get the right flavor balance. Start by adding a small amount of seasoning to the mix and blend it together. Then, taste it and adjust the seasoning as needed, adding more if necessary. Do this until you achieve the desired flavor. 5. Consider adding mix-ins One of the great things about Amish church spread recipes is that they are versatile and can be adapted to include different ingredients. Consider adding mix-ins such as chopped herbs, chopped nuts, or diced vegetables to your spread. These can add an extra depth of flavor and texture to your spread. When adding mix-ins, make sure to chop them finely to ensure that they mix well with the other ingredients. You can also adjust the amount of mix-ins to suit your taste. 6. Store the spread properly Properly storing your Amish church spread is essential to keep it fresh and tasty for longer. When you are finished making the spread, transfer it to an airtight container, and seal it tightly. Place the container in the refrigerator and allow the spread to chill for at least an hour before serving. Amish church spread recipes can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks, but it is important to check it for signs of spoilage before consuming it. If the spread looks or smells off, it is best to throw it away to avoid getting sick. Conclusion Amish church spread recipes are a great addition to any meal or snack. They are easy to make, delicious, and versatile. Using high-quality ingredients, the right tools, starting with room temperature ingredients, adding seasonings gradually, considering adding mix-ins, and storing the spread properly are valuable tips for making the perfect Amish church spread recipe. With these tips, you are sure to impress your family and friends with your homemade, flavorful spread.
