DELIGHTFUL COCONUT ALMOND BREAD

Delightful Coconut Almond Bread image

After trying someone's coconut bread recipe that didn't turn out well, I changed the proportions, added a few new ingredients, and came up with this version. Delicious! It works well as muffins or bars, too. Just decrease the cooking time and bake until the inside is no longer gooey.

ALMOND CRANBERRY BREAD

Almond Cranberry Bread image

From Ocean Spray flyer. It has been a many years since I've made this bread but my notes say it is yummy! My notes also say I added a 1/4 cup of chopped almonds to the batter and then used another 1/4 cup of sliced/slivered almonds for the topping. So I've adjusted the original to include this but feel free to leave the chopped almonds out of the batter itself. **Updated 12/7/11 - I've adjusted the bake time for this bread. The original times were definitely too long for this quick bread **

Almond Cranberry Coconut Bread Recipes: Valuable Tips

Making bread is one of the most satisfying and fulfilling kitchen experiences. The scent of freshly baked bread wafting through the kitchen is enough to make anyone's mouth water. One particular kind of bread that is worth trying is the almond cranberry coconut bread. This bread is healthy, nutty, and perfect for a breakfast treat or a snack. Here are some valuable tips and considerations when making almond cranberry coconut bread:
1. Use High-Quality Ingredients
The key to making great almond cranberry coconut bread is to use high-quality ingredients. The flour, coconut oil, and cranberries used should all be of great quality. This will ensure that the bread tastes great and is healthy.
2. Don't Overmix the Batter
When combining the ingredients, don't overmix the batter. Doing so will cause the bread to be dense and tough. Mix the wet and dry ingredients until just combined.
3. Use a Non-Stick Loaf Pan or Line with Parchment Paper
Using a non-stick loaf pan, or lining the pan with parchment paper ensures that the bread doesn't stick to the pan. It also makes it easier to remove the bread from the pan, which is helpful when slicing the bread.
4. Preheat the Oven
Preheating the oven is crucial when making almond cranberry coconut bread. The bread needs to go into a hot oven to rise quickly and bake evenly. Preheating the oven also ensures that the bread is cooked to perfection.
5. Use the Right Measuring Tools
Using the right measuring tools ensures that you get accurate measurements of ingredients. Baking is all about precision, so using the right tools is essential in ensuring that the bread comes out perfectly.
6. Add Some Spice
To enhance the flavors of the bread, add some spice like cinnamon, nutmeg, or ginger to the batter. You can also add some vanilla extract to give the bread a sweet, warm flavor.
7. Use Chopped or Sliced Almonds
Using chopped or sliced almonds in the bread batter gives the bread a nutty flavor and crunchy texture. You can also sprinkle some on top of the bread before baking to give it a more dramatic appearance.
8. Use Sweetened or Unsweetened Coconut Flakes
Using sweetened or unsweetened coconut flakes will depend on how sweet you want the bread to be. Sweetened coconut flakes will make the bread sweeter, while unsweetened coconut flakes will make the bread less sweet.
9. Use Fresh or Dried Cranberries
Fresh or dried cranberries can be used to make almond cranberry coconut bread. Dried cranberries will give the bread a chewy texture, while fresh cranberries will give the bread a tangy and juicy flavor.
10. Allow the Bread to Cool Before Slicing
Allow the bread to cool completely before slicing. Slicing the bread when it's still hot can cause it to crumble and fall apart. Letting the bread rest also allows the flavors to meld together and will make it easier to slice.
Conclusion
Making almond cranberry coconut bread is not only delicious but also easy. With these tips and considerations, you can ensure that the bread comes out perfectly every time. Using high-quality ingredients, not overmixing the batter, preheating the oven, and using the right measuring tools are just a few of the tips to keep in mind. Remember to allow the bread to cool before slicing and adding some spice to enhance the flavors of the bread.
